My 20 YO DS is at University. For years he threw his change in an old binoculars case and insisted on cashing it in at the Coinstar machines the one time he bothered. He hasn't bothered with it since he left home and had no plans to use it. It's been niggling me knowing it was sat up in his room doing nothing. So I offered to buy it off him to get it into pots where it belongs.

So tonight I have potted the insane (for me) amount of £52.96!!!!! He's more than happy with the £40 I've transferred into his account and, even though it has cost me that, I'm happy as I wouldn't have saved that 40 quid this month.

Plus it puts me onto my second sealed pot and we're only in the first week of Jan. :T

    I'm a very happy potter tonight :D

Potted £3 today and went for the first decent walk of the year. It was a lovely day, bright and sunny, though it was cold and I was well-wrapped up and in my thermals :rotfl:

Are you asking to join us, Nicki_Sue?? It sounds as though you possibly are, but I'd just like to make certain please. :D

Yes please Sue-UU! I did the challenge years ago but have fallen off the wagon in receent years (using cards not cash) however have gone back to envelope budgeting for some things which means I'm no longer like the queen as I do carry cash and will pot the change!
