Why do some many people love Dysons?

That really is not right and it certainly not indicative of how Dyson's are. It sounds like there's something wrong with it.
Just a thought, but when you turned it on you didn't by chance press the red button and the silver one next to it by mistake? That would turn off the beater bar and give results you're describing.
When I got my new Dyson I used it the day after I'd used my Vax, I filled the canister in one room with all the crap the Vax left behind, that is how a Dyson should perform.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Re mucky filters, my husband takes them to work and gives them a good blast with the air compressor, astonishes me every time as it nearly sucks carpets off the floor. Not a dyson as i am not a fan.
