  • I am a very happy bunny today. Got letters from PPI reclaim and I have been offered £3200. Most of this will go into my savings when I get it - payment they said will take up to 28 days from when they get my acceptance form - which needless to say I have already posted.

Put away £230 away from this weeks wage after a tight 2/3 weeks of paying off various things. Happy with that, still got another pay left in March and another couple afterwards before next car payment so I am very optimistic. Also recieved a transaction letter for the first shares to be bought in my S&S ISA which I am excited about.

It's finally kicked off for me and when I start to see results I can see this getting very addictive :D
Goal is to Retire before I'm 40 (currently 30yo)
  • One more friday to go before I can post my march savings. The anticipation is killing me (softly)

  • £1000 for March. I have saved over a third of my target in a quarter of the term, so going well so far. But never be complacent, you never know what unexpected spends are needed in the future!

Feeling a bit  over some unexpected expenses this month which mean I've only been able to save £150 so far! Really hoping to get back some money owed (insurance) by the end of the month to boost my March total. I knew March would be lean but this is worse than I expected!

On the other hand it's very nice to be able to deal with said unexpected expenses without turning to debt or being thrown into a financial nightmare. :j Still not used to being on the HMS Saver! Hoping for a bumper month in April to get me back on target.

I'm getting quite excited for the end of the month to arrive as I'm set to actually make my first declaration of 2015! The last house maintenance bill is due and came in at nearly half the quoted price which is a BIG help (it was quoted at £1-1.5k and came in at just £650). Yay! :j It won't be a massive amount as I have to pay for a filling early in April, but am excited to actually be able to start saving again in spite of this! I've been told that my friends insurance will be paying something toward the laptop he accidentally drowned over christmas, so that will help things along when that eventually comes through. I have just bought a new phone via the bay of e which I hadn't planned on having to do just yet, but the old phone is on it's last legs and almost the entire sum will be covered by the balance I had in my quidco and survey accounts. Winning :D

Well done - very true no time for complacency.

Morning all. Some big unexpected hefty bills so little or none gone into savings. Changed to Santander 123 account and some bits and pieces done via topcashback and Quidco but no money as yet. Very little into the pot expected til the end of May. But it's becoming a way of life to save. Having and eBay week so hopefully pay off the deficit quicker!!
