From the age of 21- 26 I had an eventful life but did my best to save… what I find these early years taught me was how difficult money is to earn and save… and how easy it is to spend and not have. I think the fact you’re a conscientious person, who at the age of 22 has an idea what you want in life puts you miles a head of anyone else… and the general direction your heading is building blocks towards your personal dreams.
Incidentally the company that I have just left just paid me a nice chunk of money (3.85k cash, 500 to my pension and 400 off my student loan). So this months reporting figures should be good, especially as I should get paid from my new job too!
Thanks for that, it's good to know I have the right mindset! Wow that's awesome man, you gonna save most of it? Keep it up man!Goal is to Retire before I'm 40 (currently 30yo)0 -
Pay day saving deposit of £500.00 - hopefully if I am frugal in March I can add another £75 and have a nice tidy £1000 by the end of the month - my personal challenge in feb to not buy breakfast or lunch at work has saved me about £100 this month, so definitely going to be continuing with that, dinner leftovers for me.£10 a day 2015 Oct £131.38/£310

I've updated the form a couple of times this month and it seems to only add the last figures when updated.
Should I be adding just once a month with the total figure? Or if I add a few times I need to add the total saved not the new figure?Competition Wins

Transferred £56.72 into my savings account today, taking total savings to £300.00. Not much but we've cleared our credit cards so any savings was a bonus!!
Please could you amend my target to £1K, there's no way I can save £11K in a year :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Yes, just do the update form once with your total for the month. You can declare any savings bit by bit on the thread but only do the actual update form with totals once. Hope that helps.0 -
