Firstly, I'm a she
Secondly - TheBunting is right! When updating the form at the front of the thread for the end of the month, I just want one total which is your savings for the month. So, for example, you might have saved £217.98 for February in total, which is the number I want you to submit as your final. The spreadsheet keeps a tally of your overall savings, so to just continue to post those means a lot more work on my account.
Does that make sense?Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I've just opened a stocks and shares ISA today, as I think I have enough cash (never thought I'd be able to say that!). I started a pension AVC last year to give me a nice tax free cash sum, touch wood, on top of my work's pension.
That is what is so good good about these forums (fora?). You might start off wanting debt advice, sort that, move on to mortgages, then savings, then pensions and even stock market investing. As you move through life and become more financially savvy you can learn, benefit and be motivated by other people's experience, kindly given.
Thanks everyone! :ASave £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Well done to Lalman. Hope you enjoy your new job!
Almost ready to declare for the month... I will have £259 from my bonus and got to work out what I have saved on groceries. My spending out budget seems to have been bang on, but no savings there.
The budget is going to be majorly adjusted next month as the first of my loan payments goes out. What I manage to pay back less interest I will count towards my saving goal, and then every few months I am hoping to lop a few extra quid in to reduce the overall interest paid.Keep reading books!

Ooo...I'm officially on the spreadsheet! I think I get it now SF, I didn't understand about the form until reading recent posts. Thanks for putting my January total on the sheet.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

I've only managed £90 this month but I left work mid-February so can't risk putting too much away as March is an expensive month (MOT, insurance etc). Got an interview tomorrow so fingers crossed then at least I'll know I've got pennies coming in.
Well done to everyone!# 072 'Save 12K in 2015' - £345 / £3000
