Congratulations SF. I have only just read that you had a beautiful baby boy. Sorry to read about his weight but don't beat yourself up feeling guilty, it's nothing you are doing and it does sound like the hospital are keeping on top of it. He will start putting on the weight in no time, just wait and see. Stay positive and enjoy having him in your arms. The joy he brings will far outweigh the tiredness. X

Well done everyone, some great numbers there!

I have scraped over £1000 to my Nationwide current account, newly opened to get the 5% interest. Also sent £120 to TSB again for the 5%. Taking off the credit card for this month (which hasn't actually gone out yet) gives me £849.03 in savings for this month.

Should be able to at add a bit more as the month goes on, need to add another £350 ish to keep me on track for this month. Have a bit of cashback due in and and incentive payment for Yorkshire Bank to come in, so we'll see how it goes.

  • I've had a bit of an expensive month, but have transferred £3,000 into my savings today for September. Now to live in ikea veggie 'meat' balls for the rest of the month for the rest of the month! I hope everyone is doing well and keeping on target. Also, thanks to Slowlyfading for still updating everything while caring for her new born! You must be busy!!
I'm trying to remember to pay my future self first!
  • I have to confess.... its been 7 months since I saved anything....:eek::eek:

To be fair, I got married in August this year (only got engaged in December 2014) so we haemorrhaged money this year!

But there is still 4 months left of the year so no excuse for giving up as our house is the next priority.... it needs lots doing to it.....

Many apologies for neglecting you all this year!
