Congrats Cathy (and have missed your thread)!

    Still doing the allottment?

If that 2K or so is in addition to the 14K you have saved this year, I assume you have current accts for it?

Great saving, esp as you have more than met this years goal. going to join the next sharesave?

hi atush! good to hear from you :) I do sometimes feel I should have done a last post for the thread, saying I felt it had achieved what I set out to do, which was set me on the path to saving - I had definitely turned round and started going in another direction in the months I was posting on it. For which I have a number of other people to thank, including you. :) I am still doing the allotment and got 16kg of gooseberries off it this year, among other things - ate gooseberry jam with my toast this morning, which was very nice. The £2k is actually part of the £14k - updated my signature before I posted the savings for this month. Some of it is in current accounts but I also have an S&S Isa etc. Re this year's goal, I should really raise my target but I love feeling I've got past it already! I have so got the savings bug now. :)

Declaring £2571.71 for August, taking me to £20,303 overall - the £24k target's clearly in sight now, and should hopefully make it with a month to spare :)

Congratulations on the new arrival SF :D

Declaring £3133.85 for August which smashes my target so I have increased it to £20,000.00. This should be doable as I have a policy that matures in October.

Glad to hear that baby SF is now doing well.

Number 158 declaring £760 for August. Not a bad month for myself, quite happy and well on target for my £8k goal.

Seems most other people have decent months too! Well done all. Congrats to SF as well. Hope all stays OK.

  • Hi All,

Reporting £1,245.90 for August taking the total to £10,340.71:j.

September should be a higher month as my second job pays 4 weekly and the second payday falls in September this year although I may need to dip into it after an expensive MOT (I save weekly, but the cost was higher than expected:().

There's some fantastic saving going on here - well done everyone.

Glad to hear baby son is doing well SF.

Well done everyone, some good work again this month and nice to see how everyone's getting on.

I'm very happy with the £1,151.03 I managed this month :) because with that it takes me to 101.6% of my total, so I made it!

I'm going to set my new stretch goal to a very precise £18,110.80, which means I'm currently two-thirds of the way there.
