Hi there, I'm one of the old time posters too. I've recently retuned to the fold and subscribed to the threads I used to enjoy. Nice to see that it, and some of you, are still here
It was always so friendly and some media has changed but not improved if you see what I mean
Fruball I think that you mean Mardatha. I used to enjoy them too and still keep recipes etc we used to exchange. You can still read her posts if you enter it into the search. Happy days! The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

How is life treating you?
I do remember you too, Eenymeeny! Glad to see people are still around
There was a lovely lady who lost her husband. She had an eco cottage or something similar, and a stove fired with pellets. I can't remember her name but often thought about her too. Could it have been Primrose?
I am glad to be back!Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

That's lovely that we've got back in touch and I'm glad to see that we're still here! I remember you getting rid of all your plants in containers MingVase and I've been cutting down on mine lately too, It's funny what you remember about people isn't it? We used to get lovely sensible advice which I am still using everyday. I still keep large stocks of candles, tinned tomatoes and toilet rolls! The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.

How much are flu jabs? DD paid £25! Worth it because she works with junior germ spreaders, often in crowded rooms, but the price seems to have increased considerably.
Ours were provided without charge at the GP surgery.8 -
Mine came free for some reason - possibly my age? (60+)Nelliegrace said:How much are flu jabs? DD paid £25! I felt a bit chilly yesterday and did turn on the heating for an hour and put the new draft excluder next to the kitchen door. I really noticed the difference with the draft excluder.
We are in the north facing bedroom now and I wore joggers, a thick t-shirt and socks to bed last night and was mostly warm, except I woke up about 5 and realised that my head felt cold. Does anyone on here wear something over their head to keep them warm at night? I just looked on Amazon and there was a type of slouchy beanie hat that might work.
