I had free flu jab at work this week - they are keen to keep us healthy!
I just googled and it says 19.95 with super drug or 9.95 with their loyalty card. Most of our local chemists are about £20 ish8 -
With regards to flu jabs, Superdrug are doing them for £9.95 if you have a loyalty card. £19.95 if you don't. They can be booked online.5

I would not be adverse to wearing a head covering in bed! A satin lined beanie would suit my hair as it has a tendency to frizz.Wednesday2000 said:I felt a bit chilly yesterday and did turn on the heating for an hour and put the new draft excluder next to the kitchen door. I really noticed the difference with the draft excluder.
We are in the north facing bedroom now and I wore joggers, a thick t-shirt and socks to bed last night and was mostly warm, except I woke up about 5 and realised that my head felt cold. Does anyone on here wear something over their head to keep them warm at night? I just looked on Amazon and there was a type of slouchy beanie hat that might work.Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

Any old, soft woolly beret or beanie hat, @Wednesday2000. I have a soft shawl too, to keep warm when reading in bed, and use a wool lap rug for a shawl in winter. A flask of hot tea too. We sleep with the bedroom window open.9

I use a fleece hat if I am cold in bed. Wool makes my head itch. I have found a fleece polo neck to wear over my nightie. Reminds me of a bed jacket. We haven’t turned the heating on yet but brought the dehumidifiers in and cleaned the filters. Let them stand for a bit to settle before turning them on. Made a difference to the feel of the room pretty quickly. Also brought the door draught excluders in.10

I wear a shawl when sitting up in bed.DH says it makes me look like an old granny- which I am.
Our house is only four years old so fairly well insulated but we still have a curtain over the front door which faces east. A lot of the houses in this town are very old- tudor or even older. My craft group make draught excluders for doors and windows which are usually given away to anyone who needs them.10 -
Yes, I think I will definitely use my hat in bed when it gets colder. I found a soft black beanie in my hat box yesterday. I have lots of scarves so I will put one or two next to the bed with the hat ready to go if I'm sitting in bed at night.
I used to have a poncho type top that was very warm, but it got holes and I didn't replace it. That kept me very warm. I suppose that is similar to a shawl.
I woke up early and realised that my arms, wrists and hands were cold too as I was wearing a three quarter length sleeved top last night. I think I will look in charity shops for a few men's tops as they have longer sleeves rather than pay the "pink tax" and buy new women's clothes.
I had my flu jab yesterday and took the pharmacist's advice to take three lots of paracetamol spaced out throughout the day and I feel fine today. Often I feel like I'm coming down with the flu and tired after my jab, but I feel okay and actually woke up at about 6.30 this morning.

I may take your pharmacists advice @Wednesday2000 I wish I had been given it. I had my jab on Tuesday and have been feeling rotten ever since, nose streaming, head cold, coughing the full lot!6
