Hail here, but it's making the grass look white, so that counts as snow in my book :rotfl:

    Should have gone to Specsavers!!

Nothing to do with preparing for winter, but I thought I'd put this comment on to give everyone a smile.

I never read the previous thread, 'Preparing for winter IV', as for some reason I thought it meant preparing for IVF in the winter!! I vaguely wondered why IVF would be different in the winter to the summer but never actually looked. I also wondered why it was in this section, rather than Marriage and Relationships but hey ho.

Oh and by the way, I did go to Specsavers last week, upgrade on my glasses on the way!!

    Hope this makes you smile.

Have a giggle every time I see this thread!! BTW, picked up my new glasses today. Happy Thursday everyone xx

I was saying just today, that it is getting so cold we might see snow soon.

Then again! it was been slightly windy the last x2 days and I have had the washing out on the line for an airing. Bringing it back in damp but not as wet as it went out.

I saw on tv the other day that you only get hail in the summer. In the winter, it's frozen snow, so technically, you've got snow.

We have a weather warning in Yorkshire for snow and ice overnight. We'll see... Haven't told the kiddies just in case!

I am very envious Mard! I do love snow. We have had a look at some of the webcams up there!

I wonder how many of the people stuck in cars on the scottish border were prepared and had supplies in the car?!

Quite warm down here in the south today. ... and SUNSHINE!!!
