FREE EE SIM 100GB - 4G data for two months - no strings, no contract

-
I ordered it to test out 4G to see what coverage was like in my area.
I wasnt gready. I only ordered 1.
I've actually been considering taking out an EE sim only deal however their automatic RPI increase is putting me off somewhat.
I guess it's only pence really unlike VM !0 -

Allow me to remind you:
Now what does the SIM to which I have linked have? Any bells ringing or light bulbs lighting up?
What is this??
You were quite right to say I shouldn't be offering advice, although it's odd that you chose my most (only?) useful post to quote with it
I am sorry to have wasted your time, especially as you are on holiday (You can have a break from MSE too you know!)
Please accept my apologies.
What I can't apologise for however is overcomplicating things, because somebody else did that:The sim arrived today, I managed to cancel their £10 pack they preloaded by topping up £5 and then adding the £1 pack instead.
I now have 100.1GB allowance to play with.d123 wrote:It's voluntary, just difficult to avoid though. What EE have done is queue the £10 pack on the sim, so anyone who tops up £10 or more will find the first £10 disappears for the preloaded pack you might not want.
You can get around it by registering online and only topping up £5 and then buying a £1 pack (10min/10text/100MB) it automatically cancels the £10 pack that EE preloaded.Just remember, if you don't want the £10 preloaded pack, DONT top up £10, only top up £5 initially and load a £1 pack instead. You can then either text 'STOP PACK' to 150 or use the MyEE application to cancel any future packs.
AFAIC make out, all these posts referred to the 100GB offer.
Anyway, I'd like to wish a Happy New Year to you and all on this board (including D123!)0 -

In the subsequent post I asked 'Why didn't that qualify you for the offer', but he can't have thought that 'that' meant the receipt of the SIM with their £10 pack preloaded.
Why is he suggesting a workaround for an obstacle that doesn't exist?
If you didn't want the £10 preloaded pack then surely 'do nothing' should be up there with this advice but no, another reason why I thought you must top up.

Maybe because you gave the impression you (and others) wanted to use the sim so might actually need some minutes and texts? Maybe because you have been such a total idiot through the thread that no-one really knows what you want?
Happy New Year!====0 -
In short, not everyone would be using their SIMs in modems. Those using it in a phone may wish to make calls and texts too, but not have to be pressed into utilising the £10 bundle. They might, for instance, prefer the use of a £1 bundle or not to have a bundle connected to the SIM at all.
d123's post refers to such scenario.
As I was in country for just a matter of days, I had no need for a call and SMS package.0 -

Apologies once again!0 -
I do that too. 100mb free permanent sim would have been quite usefull since I use less than that on my smartphone. However, despite querying how this worked I was under the impression that you had to top up - so I never ordered one. Silly really; had I ordered and not topped up to see what happened I wouldn't have lost anything.0

There is still this possibility. Mine hasn't arrived yet to find out.NiftyDigits wrote: »Try my link. They may still work. This one
Please note its a nano, but they also sell combi0 -

The 100MB forever sims did need a top up (of at least £5) this thread was about the 100GB for 2 months sims which didn't.
Perhaps if you had made a new thread specifically about the 100MB sims rather than posting in thread about a different offer it wouldn't have been so confusing?
I posted the terms for the 100MB offer previously..Our phones and tablets come with a gift of 100MB free data every single month. The offer applies to all new pay as you go phones (including SIM Only) and tablet customers who join EE from 15 October 2014.
The offer ends for phones and SIMs on 28 December 2014 and tablet on 31 January 2015. Just top up at least £5 on your phone by 4 January 2015 or register the tablet and activate the free data online by 6 February 2015.
The EE offer is available across EE stores, online at ee.co.uk or over the phone – and through our pay as you go indirect partners. T-Mobile and Orange voice customers qualify too, if they switch to EE during the period of the offer.
Just a thought...====0 -

So here goes....
Actually you do have to top up for the 100MB deal; it's the 100GB one that you don't need to. Looks like we have both missed out0 -

Which is why nifty linked to sims on ebay that have already been topped up.
