Snap. I deleted my POF profile after a year of fun and not so fun dates, met my friend to go out for a few drinks in local rugby club dressed in jeans and rugby top and said to her "I am giving up on men to concentrate on me for awhile"...... and ended up getting together with someone who I worked with but only vaguely knew! 18months on we are still going strong!
OP - I haveno idea on Tinder, but good luck with whatever you chose x* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

I was told Tinder was more of a hook-up site, bit of casual whatever. And POF was similar - obviously can't speak for everyone on it! But I'd be very wary about who I met and what my profile said. I used an agency once (linked to Time Out and The Guardian and some of them on there did appear to be 'serial daters' when I looked at it again some time later. Same with speed dating - I went to an event several years after the time before and recognised one bloke from way back when (yes, he had been inbetween, unlike me lol).
I went to a film showing c/o eHarmony and a representative said all good things about it, but then I suppose they would. It did sound quite good though.
My friends met through some Christian speed dating thing - maybe see if anything like that near you?

I have two friends who met and married through a Christian dating website - I would have thought that would be a good way to go, as there are is a far far higher ratio of single women in the church to men.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

I'm not ruling out going on a dating site aimed at Christians and agree it's a good option, but I'm open minded. As long as he is respectful of my beliefs/practices and has similar values, I don't mind dating someone who isn't religious or who is a different faith. My parents aren't of the same faith so I don't want to rule men out just because they aren't Christian.0

To the Christians I know it is fundamental to them they are only with a partner who is committed to Christ in the way they are.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Anyway there'll be all sorts of different Christians to sift through as well - you might not want a fundamentalist for example, as I assume you aren't as you don't seem to mind the idea of not sharing that part of your life.

Yeah, I've actually found a dating website which asks you which of the church's teachings you actively support/follow and matches you with other Christian's according to that. I think that's really great as there are some branches of Christianity which I don't agree with and ending up with a man who supports certain ideologies would be a nightmare for me (well, for both of us really!). Don't get me wrong, my faith is central to my life (I've even got a tattoo as proof of that lol) and I do think it can be easier to settle down with someone of the same faith but I also want to keep my options open. As you say, I can be on more than one site!0 -
I met my husband on http://www.midsummerseve.com/.
We both only joined to make new friends, and expand our social life but we started chatting (well taking the mick out of each other) on the forum, and although we were determined to stay just friends, we both started to get a bit jealous when other people would hit on us and ........ well we are now married.
It was a long distance relationship at first, I would have never met him if I hadn't joined but also would have never looked at his profile as he was too far away, so the forum bit was ideal as it meant we had a chance to just chat without any expectations.
My (adult) daughter uses Tinder, so far she has had many matches, but all are only after a leg-over, so she is getting fed up with it.There is no shame in not knowing; the shame lies in not finding out.0 -
My daughter is at uni, and her and her friends use Tinder. well she did, she met her b/f on it and doesn't use it now, but her friends do.
I thought it was great fun! In fact although he doesn't know it I picked him not her0 -
I'd never heard of Tinder until I saw this thread.
Interesting review from a woman's perspective here...

Match.com is paid for site so it will filter out those just looking for casual flings. However I have a friend that's now married, after meeting on Tinder!0
