Quick update:
Letter sent to the court regarding DEAL's lack of complience in not sending a copy of their DQ - no reply so far.
As an aside, it would appear that Co-op have now engaged the services of Horizon Parking to manage this particular car park. Not sure if this is the case countrywide. I'll get pics of the signs and post up when I can, but I believe it is a man in a hi vis patrolling and you have to display a ticket. So windscreen PCN's for contravention I guess.0 -

You'd think that 'once bitten, twice shy'; any sympathy previously shown towards the Co-op must be severely eroded if they've jumped into bed with another one.
Unless of course, they are paying Horizon for their service, hi-viz man will be helping motorists to find parking spots, his presence dissuading rogue parkers from misusing disabled bays, and generally managing the car park rather than machine-gunning out PCNs!
Woosh, there goes that flock of pigs past my window again! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Are Horizon one of the "take photos with a hand-held camera then send out an NtK" type of mobs?0

H0riz0n act in Sainsburys car parks too - can't recall if they have ANPR or not, but a search of 'H0riz0n' on the forum would find threads about their style of PPC (generic) scam.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

We have our hearing date and it's been allocated to local court. On the first page of the notice it states after considering the papers in this case the court believes it suitable for mediation. (Even though we ticked no on the DQ).
Is this normal procedure?
Still not had copy of DQ from DEAL or reply from the court regarding their not sending to us0 -
I've started working on the Witness Statement and Skeleton Argument as I have to send to the Court and Deal 14 days before the hearing date.
Another poster who has been through this experience very helpfully provided me with templates of what they used.
My question regards the witness statement; the template I was sent as well as saying what actually happened, disputes points in the claimants witness statement.
Do I wait to be served a copy of the claimants witness statement so I can rebutt their points or just dispute the sketchy points on the N1 claim0 -
Interesting reading on The ParkingPranksters blog regarding the dyslexic Mr Shwarts.
Might be useful for anybody else with a CEL / DEAL claim0 -

We've got H0rizon in our local sainsbugs. I have never ever seen a parking attendant in the thirty odd years I have lived here.
This probably explains why I can't bait them by not displaying a BB when I park in a disabled bay. No cameras of any sort by here and their signs are a joke as well.I married my cousin.
