Thanks, that is very useful as it can be used in other cases. There is no way DEAL or CEL got consent from the Co-op to 'assign' the alleged 'debt'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm thinking there may be a lot of these over the next few months.
I'm also going to make it my business to visit the co-op on the 19th or 20th to make sure any signs have been removed. Maybe have a word with the manager if they haven't.
My friend also has the DQ now which I think is pretty straightforward.
So that's going in next week. It's 28 days if I understand correctly?0 -
Received from Deborah at co-op after 2nd complaint letter, interesting that the landowner has no influence over their agent apparently
I think I will be requesting whether co-op have asked for this invoice to be cancelled but been refused by CEL.
Good Afternoon,
Thank you for your email and your comments are noted.
As advised in my earlier response, it is simply a statement of fact that CEL and DEAL will not respond to requests from Co-op to discontinue Court actions, regardless of the reasons for such requests. Accordingly, it is not a question of this issue being escalating to another level of authority within Cwo-op, but that CEL/DEAL will not accede to such requests, regardless of who they emanate from within Co-op.
Where Co-op is able to comment further, I have endorsed responses below.
I trust this clarifies the position, as I do not think that Co-op is able to assist further in this matter.
Yours sincerely

..... as similarly I, and my extended family, will no longer be able to assist further in the matter of the Co-op's quest for profit.

I do not think that Co-op is able to assist further in this matter.
Consider the Co-op 'on notice' that I will claim back from you any loss and damages for distress, after this is over. I suggest you pass this to your legal Department as it serves as my initial letter before claim and further details will follow in 2015.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Coupon-mad wrote: »Oh yes your employer will have to assist, when I sue the Co-op for my losses. You took on this scumbag firm and you allowed them to have a ridiculously powerful contract, giving them carte blanche to sue your customers. The Co-op has been negligent and used by a parking agent, just as Somerfield were taken for a ride by ParkingEye who then sued them when they tried to withdraw the contract when the parking company were threatening customers. Yet no other retailers woke up and smelt the coffee - this is what parking companies, including BPA members, do - the entire industry is riddled with bad apples. What does it take for Retailers to realise the damage that parking firms are doing to their trade? Did whoever was stupid enough to sign up to this contract with CEL, not stop to think of the old adage 'you don't get owt for nowt' and wonder where the catch was, consider for a minute where CEL were going to actually rake their money in from? Clearly not.

The problem is that retailers seem to be attracted by the promise of a cash benefit of some sort or other. As the Russian proverb goes: "When money talks the truth is silent".
That may well not apply as far as the Co-op are concerned and it may just have been the offer of a service at no cost that did it. Either way it would seem, based on the experience of numerous traders - large and small, if you get into bed with a PPC, you stand a significant risk of being mauled. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

I've started collecting some info in preparation for the full defence, so I decided to visit the site today, which happens to be the day after Deborah said that CEL will no longer be managing co-op car parks. Guess what! Cameras still there and signs. Took a pic of the sign for reference can't believe how bad it is.
"Vehicles exceeding will be charged" (so not drivers or RKs) don't know how you charge a lump of metal
"To DETER abuse" blah blah, so it's a deterrent. So there claim for breach or trespass or contractual charge is even more laughable.
Some more questions for Deborah forthcoming I think.0
