HB yuck - I tell my kids straight that you are not pleasant to be around so go wash/brush your teeth - mean or kind I don't know but a necessity.
leaves swept.
Bit miffed went to rehoming place to get kittens, we've got lots they said, nobody in the pipe line for kittens, place was heaving with others wanting the same thing (all home visit checked). Left empty handed. May try a different place as i'm not overly keen on the attitude at this one.
Need to finish tidying dining room next as DS2 has a home tutoring client and her Mum coming for a visit. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I don't know how many of you will remember the 'kitten saga' when my sister was trying to catch a bunch of small kittens out the back of the restaurant where she worked? ... We eventually got all 3 of them and then couldn't rehome the 2 girls so we kept them and the boy went to OH's sister.. well she has split with her husband (they have been married just 4 years!!) and we are getting him back!!! she is living pretty much with a guy 19 years her senior and her hubby has n=moved to a petless grotty flat so OH's mum is having the old cat and the young cat and we are getting Peter back!!! I can't wait!!!!
OH went to get milk.. I'm so tired I am still stropping and I have done nothing.. I need to wash Squeak uniform though.. but I am trying to get through this cardy for OH's mum.. I am HATING knitting it.. I did the whole back then pulled it out to knit a bigger size then did one lot of pattern then realised I needed to pull it back 4 rows which can only be done one stitch at a time.. I wanted to cry!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hello again. All my 'minimum' list is done, and I've ordered another couple of pressies online, and third lot of washing is in the machine.
I'm going to reward myself now with a trip out to a Xmas Fayre.
See you all on the next thread.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Thank you, Dusty. After I typed that entry I had a little think about the filth at the chalet twice this year, and I've come to the conclusion that it's something that's just newly started. My standards have gone up since I became a Flylady, but the reality is that this is something that is going to become more common. And no, telling young men that they need to attend to their personal hygiene in a language they understand is absolutely the right thing to do. Three youngish men will never be welcome back at this house under any circumstances again, and the chalet people who leave it in a revolting state will be paying more than anyone else. It's just not worth it, otherwise.
Good luck with kitten search. Adopting my first dog was a marathon with various organisations being utterly ridiculous. It finally stopped when I said that if I had to go through yet another hoop trying to adopt a rescue dog I'd just buy a puppy and have done with it. Instant result, which is just sad, really. I don't do threatening as a rule, and when I'm pushed to it, I mean it.Better is good enough.0 -

CY and don't forget yourself!
Bathroom Done! Strange as it may seem, Sunday morning seems to be the most convenient time to clean this, before anyone else is up.
Sunday lunch cooked and eaten. Washing up done by DS1's GF. Lovely girl.
I have finally finished all the buttons and ribbons on the baby doll clothes, so they are ready to pack up and post tomorrow. Next project, maybe socks. I have found a nice pattern plain but with lace panel running down the sides, so fairly straightforward, but with enough challenge to be interesting. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
well it's au revoir to my citroen - it is sold; but it is staying here until tomorrow as it cannot be taxed for December until December apparently - not online anyway; there is no facility for delaying start date. I declared it SORN last week and have had the cheque from the DVLA which has been shoved in the bank letterbox.
and in code...
I'm rather thrilled about the gifts I have bought today (just after 11am - clue!) and now need to keep totally schtum until the 25th.
Serena - I find it impossible to clean the bathroom if anyone else is around - and it only takes me 20 mins - then I need to wait for the floor to dry. At the moment though there's only me here so no problems!
I have line dried sheets to iron - they will smell lovely and fresh:T and have cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom:T:cool:.
Honeybear - I am lucky in that DS is clean:D but I feel your pain.:o
I have found my payslip - I had a suspicion there had been an error and was assured there wasn't but there is; an incorrect deduction has been made. Trouble with being paid monthly is that the error won't be rectified until December now:o:(

:huh:I really thought I'd posted earlier...
Been nice and bright today. And not too chilly. So we picked up most of the leaves - they were wet elasticmoney - hopefully the few sticky ones left can now dry off and I'll get them with the garden vac at some point.
Then we went for dinner at inlaws which was v nice. Told MIL we probably won't be visiting my brother overseas given his attitude to various things, and we were thinking of a week somewhere in the sun at Easter instead. So she's going on a brochure hunt and wants to come with us (wasn't sure if we had scarred her for life after this summer, lol)
Kiddies want a sleepover so they are going next weekend - giving me either wrapping / decorating time or maybe even a night out if I can find some friends lol
Aww DS has just shouted down to ask if the elves are here yet, bless the little darlin!
I really ought to go find their school sweaters, I'm sure I washed them
Going to work from home tomorrow. Much nicer in my home office than in the real oneBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0
