  • Hello all

So pleased about your mum Dusty
Hope Pixie feels better soon pigpen
LW hope you manage to rest

Had my appointment at the horsepiddle about my knee, there is still swelling and the lump. I might have hypermobility (they don't think that's the issue with my knee) and I'm being referred for an mri scan plus physio.

Had half day at work, so went to Ald! using the voucher from the paper. They had sacks of logs out the front they were less than £4 so I got 3 bags. Also got some bubbly for Xmas.

    Today's flying:

    WM
    LR and hallway vacuumed
    Compost bin cleaned
    Bin cleaned
    Kitchen worktops cleaned
Freezer emptied of gone off food
    HHI
    Floor swept
    Stairs vacuumed

    Goodnight all

    Deco x

Oh for the love of chickens... OH has lost his phone.... the world will stop turning, the sky will fall down and life as we know it will cease to exist....

    save me!

Pixie is much better, she had food and perked up.. hoping said food stays in the baby tonight. her temp is much better, she was 39.8'C most of the last few days despite the calpol!! Given our family history of seizures it is something we try to avoid! (my niece sister and cousin all had febrile convulsions and that sister had epilepsy as a tiddler)

    Morning!

Much needed day at home today with my babies :D we may even declare it a pj day!

DS is playing on his tablet, and DD is watching Nick Jnr. We have crumpets :)

    Plans today:
Another wipe round fridge (gramps was in charge last night and opened a new milk - there was one open already lol - then left it laid on its side :eek) as list nights wiping doesn't seem to have sorted the niff.
Spare room - change bedding, sort piles of books currently on windowsill, and other floor gubbins. Make cosy for any extra guests.
    Bathrooms - especially floors
If we do go out, it may be just up to town to buy some mini baubles for our mini tree. Or we might leave it till morning.
A nap - DS in better spirits this morning but DD is an uncooperative grouch. Need to find out what's up, tiredness, bug coming on or something upset her. Hmm?
Will need to buy some smarties this week - am baking on Thu for school fayre fri, I have a rudolf cake tin and a tree one in my stash, and I thought a choc-covered rudolf and I have green ready to roll icing for the tree one, but they will need decorating!

Went to see Dirty Dancing at the theatre last night, it was amazing! We all had such a good time. It was funny and moving and great entertainment.

Right. Anyone want a brew, kettle no 2 on!

Phone turned up.. I am so bright I suggested trying the 'find my phone' app.. it makes your phone make a beeping noise supposedly at full volume.. but silly OH had squished the phone down the side of his seat cushion .. good job it was not in the bedroom!

    Todays tasks..

Finish knitting Spams hedgehog and Erins cardigan.
wrap presents for niece, nephew, sister and if I have time my mother and 2 other sisters, stepdad and tomorrow I will do DD1 and DS1 and respective extras!
While wrapping, sort the bits my mother has bought into a box to be deposited at hers asap.
Change Dots bedding.. and mine too.. it can all go in together.
Package secret santa present for knitting group.. post if I have time.. may be Monday though.

very little to improve the state of this bearpit but necessary stuff.

    Morning all

JTTOU thread is quiet, always tends to be in the run up to Christmas.

There is a promise of sunshine here today, not evident yet. Plan is paperwork, gardening and garage sorting - something for all weather outcomes.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.

I've been to the shops with the dogs this morning and ordered some presents on line and sorted out what stash I've got for Christmas and that's it. About to go out to lunch with DH who is in a lot of pain so our normal plans for today were changes, and I think paper reading and helping DD pack for her move next week are in order later.

    Oh and another dog walk.

Hope you're all having a great day.

My poppy's arrived! Yay! I've checked it because there were reports of some of them arriving broken, but it's absolutely fine and has a little mud and a couple of bits of dead grass with it in the bubble bag. I'm going to wrap it up for myself so that OH who is actually giving it to me, gets a surprise when I open it on Christmas Day. Sounds a bit convoluted, but it makes a kind of sense!

ETA: It arrived at almost exactly the same time as an email/SMS message to tell me it was on it's way!

Three loads of washing out on the line, superking turned around for an arrival tomorrow and all's well with the world.
    Better is good enough.
