  • Hello all

Woke up to freshly baked bread (set the bm before I went to bed).

    Bedding stripped
    WM on
    Washing up done
    Bed remade
    Floordrobe cleared

Decorator has agreed to refund my money, so I've begun to remove the wallpaper.

My dad turned up this morning. First time I've seen him since the shut the door on him. He said either we cut off all contact or we draw a line and he never mentions his wedding/anniversary again. I'm not sure what to do. I feel that he doesn't understand how he upsets me and how much he hurt me. Maybe he's not capable?

He did confirm it wasn't him that sent the flowers that were left on my doorstep, so they must have been left at the wrong house.

*wanders off in a brain fog*

Deco.. I must have missed what your falling out was over in my last few crazy weeks but he has made the first step in coming to you so obviously doesn't want to cut contact and even agreeing to not discuss wedding/anniversary stuff must be very difficult for him. I think men rarely understand how they make us feel whether they are our dads or brothers or other halves or sons. ((((hugs))))

been to collect prescriptions (x4) with e mail proof of my prepayment cert so I didn't have to pay (carefully timing everything to get value from PPC). Need to order more meds now.

Elastic I too am enjoying being outside in the mild weather, still raking and sweeping here!

Deco - good news on the decorator. the situation must have been on your Dad's mind, he has made a step forward. I don't think we always realise we upset people but all we can work on is what is it that is upsetting us and how we can deal with it. Hugs.

Kitten rehoming lady coming at 5 - DS3 not impressed by the idea (was meant as a lovely thing for christmas) so not sure what to do now.

DS1 has done a lot of tidying in the garage, the kitchen is now a mess!
DH working as per usual these days
    DS2 away at football
DS1 and DS3 now playing cricket - DS1 says him and DS2 need loads of cricket stuff for the coming season so that will be Christmas sorted for them.

  • Hi - just had call from DS to say he has just wrapped all!! our presents!!! from JL no less!!! I feel really excited.

Have picked up our parcels from PO and am just tuning the DAB radio - quite easy and it is lovely. We don't usually "do music" but this last year find the house is really quiet when I'm on my own. Have put Talksport onto a preset for DH. Might just put a bow on it for Xmas day as it is our Xmas present to the house/ us - but I did need to check it works OK - well didn't I?

Having another coffee as we were out all morning!! I think I don't really want to do any housework today!!

Hugs to anyone needing them. x

Minimal flying to report, although a teensy bit of decluttering has taken place. ;)

Beautiful bright and sunny day here, and I have had a lovely couple of hours having coffee and natter with our PGSE student from last year. Lovely to catch up with her, and hear how well she's doing in her first job - no surprise at all, as she is fabulous!

Love and hugs to all our flyladies.

Exhausted from gardening, looking much better out there. Need another session and for the remaining leaves to come down so I can deal with them. I love being outside.

Just having a cuppa and cooking dinner for DS3. Ironing tonight I think.

Emergency "surgery" undertaken on the shed - Mr LW found a rat in there, *shudders* so he's been to Bee and Screw-it and got materials to block where the blighter got in.

Most things in nature I can tolerate - with the notable exception of wasps (allergic), slugs (just... yuk), and rats of the feral type (I still love the sort that Froddy shares life with), because of the diseases they carry - not good with a compromised immune system!

It's put my schedule all out, so we may well have yet another week of Flying going to Hel in a handbasket.:(

It's dried up here a bit, dusty, hopefully that will remain into tomorrow so we can collect our leaves. There are just two golden ones left on the front tree so we can start there in the morning.

We have decluttered a nap. DD looks heaps better and seems happier. Not sure if DS slept, but I dozed a little. We are now playing lego and making a building site.

I've just scribbled down what's in the freezer. I'm providing the Xmas gammon, and I need to make room as the butcher never seems to have any in Xmas week so I want to get one early, it'll be worth it.

Rice and meatballs for the kiddies tea - I'll go make a start soon. And we've trialled 2 Oreo cookie pops to see how they go. I have a feeling they'll fall apart but if not we can make more for the school fayre.

I got 2 rolls of wrap earlier in the year for about 10p each (I like the kiddies stuff to be wrapped different so I don't have to worry about tags) so I've brought them down from the loft. When the littlies go to bed I may wrap some stocking fillers.

And tomorrow night the elves will visit with the advent calendars. Can't believe its that time already. My opposite neighbours have put their string lights out front this afternoon. I'll be doing mine later in the week. Yikes!
