Indoor cricket for DS3 tonight, feel so sad about the news of Phil Hughes dying, I spend a lot of time at cricket grounds and it makes it feel even realer.

Don't take anything or anyone for granted flyfriends.

Absolutley. His family must be devastated, how tragic.

It's a rather gruesome day here, the rain isn't falling so much as just hanging in the air - it's dark and damp and miserable. We've done a spot of shopping, DD now is the proud owner of some Hello Kitty snow boots :p and I have some bacon sizzling away for brunch.

We have the heating on, and I refuse to go out again until school run time :D

    Happy Birthday, Ionafan:bdaycake:_party_

It's been raining and miserable all morning, but sun has just come out.

Unable to start main bedroom as OH not up yet Grrrr, I'm about to vacuum loudly upstairs I think.

DD at preschool this morning, then uni this afternoon. I may combine that with popping into town quickly.

I have done the weekly online shop, washing up, quick tidy, and one load of laundry.

    Happy birthday Ionafan:bdaycake:

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone.

We had a lovely day out yesterday, despite DH being full of chesty cold - went for a tour of the BBC Mailbox in Birmingham and had a nice lunch out, so today I was going to stay in and work. However... I have been out twice already: the first time to the shops for the @1di voucher and the second time because I remembered I had to deliver all the SW group's gifts to the Foodbank.

CY, sorry you're going through a rough patch with being so far from your mum.

Glad to hear some positive news for your mother, Dusty.

My friend has an appointment with the oncologist tomorrow (about time too! - she's been home a month already), so I'll be taking her to the hospital.

Your garden fence looks great, mrs-mp :D

I'm off to cook bacon and eggs with all the trimmings for lunch, and we're having sausage and chips this evening, just because I fancy that. We're out again on Saturday so might have steak then ;)

After lunch I really need to settle down to work, not sleep

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks where needed x

    Happy birthday ionafan :)

I have been asleep all morning! I actually shut the curtains in the lounge and slept on the sofa so the dog wouldn't bark. She has slept all day too :o. I feel so rough! I think my head may pop.
Never mind, woofer is now licking the kitchen sides so they'll at least look clean !

Wow, Mrs MoneyPenny - fabulous difference! We had a leylandi chopped down about six years ago and decided to leave about 4' of the trunk on which I've balanced a bird bath. It was supposed to be a bird table, but somehow no one's ever got round to putting a slab of wood on it. The smuglette looks like a cutiepie.

Happy birthday Ionafan. I feel embarrassed giving you a website one given how fabulous your own cakes sound, but :bdaycake: anyway.

Feeling too sluggish to be doing much here, but crossing various things off lists as I do them here.
    Better is good enough.

    Hoppy Birdday Ionafan.

Yet another week where Flying has all gone to Hel in a handbasket.:(
I am so tired it's just not funny.:(

Mr LW has to go for the scan on his kidney shortly - I'll be going to the horse-piddle with him for moral support (and free parking :money: )
I am just so worried; I keep thinking we're through all the medical stuff, and something else crops up.:( Does it sound stupid to say I'm more concerned about him than I am about my own health issues?

He hasn't been allowed to have any lunch (instructions are to have only water from 10:30 this morning - not even allowed tea or coffee) so I skipped lunch as I'd have felt mean eating in front of him. He did have scrambled egg on toast for his brekkie, though. And no, I didn't have any, I couldn't face food that early in the day.

Ah well - posivibes and healing wishes for all in need - Dusty's mum, Ionafan's friend, CY's mum and anyone else who needs it.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Thank you Lame Wolf.

Multiple posivibes to Mr LW for his scan, and I hope you can stop worrying soon. You are just like my friend who worries more about her son than about her own medical problems. It's not silly at all, but it is very wearing and I'm not surprised you're tired.

More spoons coming your way, and I hope you will be able to enjoy your meal this evening and relax.
