My facebook feed was flooded this weekend gone by Christmas tree pictures! Don't people realise it's November, seems a Chav thing to do ino, putting it up middle of November! We always put ours up around the middle weekend in December and take it down on the twelfth night.0

Up the 1st December - down 6th Jan
Can't wait!Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
Putting it up this weekend, I do it the weekend closest to the 1st Dec. Plus I'm doing the giftwrap marathon this weekend as well and I want it up for that, for maximum Christmas. Comes down just before or after NYE, depending when I'm there to do it.
I'll only actually be seeing it for a couple of weeks really because I'm going back home for Christmas halfway through December.0 -
I think the 1st of December or if not the first week of December at any point is ideal and it's when I do ours.
I personally can't understand the point of putting your tree up on Christmas Eve - Isn't all almost over by then? Each to their own though and I can appreciate that different people make different things work for them.
I like to enjoy my tree through, a full month of it and then it comes down on the 2nd of January.Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -
Watch out for the tree police.0

My tree's up! Seems I'm unusual here but I have noticed other people's tree's up when I've been driving. Mine always goes up around the 18th November. There's no way I could wait any longer. I like it to be up when I'm doing the Christmas shopping and watching Christmas films.
I take it down before a lot of people do, on the 3rd Jan.0 -
Yes I love sitting in the dark and enjoying the lights on the tree etc - may as well make the most of it!Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Mine go up 28th November. Its a tradition my grandparents started almost 38 years ago, the day I was born. My Nana loved Christmas (I think she honestly believed she was Mrs Claus!).
We lost them both almost 20 years ago, but all of her children and grandchildren carry on her tradition every year.
I was their 1st grandchild, and I am honored to have the whole family continue to put their tree up on my birthday, in memory of my amazing grandparents. It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Love hearing people's reasons for their Christmas traditions!0

Have been known to put it up on xmas eve morning before guests arrive and take it down boxing day evening when everyone's gone home, while drinking a large glass of whiskey :beer:0
