Have you got your tree up yet?

Options
About a week ago I noticed shops putting them up in the windows for displays, then the other day I saw one outside Scotland Yard in central London. I think I'll wait until December 1st at least, but my parents do strictly 12 days before Christmas. When will you put your decorations up?

The weekend before Christmas.... never any earlier.

If you want to be traditional then put them up Christmas Eve and down 12 days later.

    It's up in the loft.
Does that count as being up ?

  • Mine will go up next Sunday. It's always the weekend closest to the 1st December.

Its put up on Christmas Eve and down on 12th night I never understand why people don't stick to tradition... everyone is sick of seeing it by the time Christmas comes around when its been up for weeks.

Mine will go up on the 12th/13th Dec. November is too early IMO.

In our house putting the tree up is part of the pre Christmas excitement, once we have had New Year's Day I am ready for it to come down, ideally before I go back to work

Dec 1st but son got stuff down yesterday so as they are in my room here have been doing the secondary trees tonight - well half anyway - but main one will be by 1st. Always seems a shame not to do it till just before Christmas as you do not get the enjoyment from seeing it - once Christmas is over its a bit irrelevant.
