It's November !!!!!!!
Ours doesn't go up until after my birthday (16 Dec), usually the weekend after that, just because I don't have time until weekend.
I can't wait to see the back of it after New Year but usually manage to wait until 12th Night.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
I'm going to put mine up 1st December after work. I always put it on top of a box, so will probably wrap that box up with red christmas paper the weekend before.
I'm like others, after New Year I just want Christmas gone, so I take my tree down between the 2nd and the 5th, depending what day's a weekend!0 -
Next weekend - always the weekend nearest the 1st December.0

Ours doesn't go up until the middle of December at the earliest. It has to stand in front of the under stairs cupboard in the lounge and it's a pain in b*m to move it if we need to get in the cupboard. I've got lots of other bits I put up though, wreaths, candles, garlands etc. I usually take it down before 12th night as my festive feeling is gone by then. I sound a right 'bah humbug' but I actually love Christmas, however, I prefer the build up and the day itself.Over futile odds

mine will go up 17th December (unless my day off changes that week) i will do it while i am home alone (i am a bit particular about where things go - and would prefer not to have help). the first Sunday in December i will put the kids tree up at church, we start with lights and nativity decorations and as December goes on things will get made and added.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. I put a few bits up today, the tree will get purchased and decorated next weekend. I love it.0

Absolutely and one of the reasons I'm not going to my firms' 'Christmas' party next weekend!
As for the tree, I'd imagine it will go up the weekend after next following pressure from the kids. Whatever the tradition, keeping a tree up into January seems almost as wrong to me as putting it up in November. Once Christmas is over, it's over and trying to prolong it just doesn't seem right.'I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my father. Not screaming and terrified like his passengers.'
