I just used my Halifax Clarity for everything. Once you get used to being charged $75 for a beer then the money is pretty simple.0 -

You can get the ferry from HK Island or Kowloon. I found the Kowloon ferry terminal easier to get to from the metro. I think you can also get the ferry direct from the airport but I'm not sure how easy that it.
I liked Macau, it's an odd place but fun for 2 days. You can use the free casino buses to get around most of it apart from the panda place.0 -

The ferry from HKG airport to Macau is used by people who want to go straight to Macau after landing in HKG, without having to clear HK immigration. You are basically treated as a transit passenger, though haven't used that service myself, and not sure how they handle luggage transfer.0 -
2 days in HK then no way I'd bother with Macau.
10 days in HK then Macau a possibilty but imo only if you stay overnight.
Not that much in Macau if you aren't interested in gambling.
St Paul's cathedral is interesting and then a walk downhill looking at the 'antique' furniture shops.
Must have a Custrad tart and coffee in the square.
Fernando's at Hac Sa beach used to be terrific, we haven't been for 15 years but it was a do not miss. Catch the bus outside the Lisboa, iirc.
Also the restaurant A Lorcha if you like Portuguese food. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -

Personally I loved Macau (and I have no interest in gambling). Lots of atmosphere; good food; cheap Portuguese wine... I took a bus out to one of the islands (across bridges) to see an ancient cathedral that houses the arm-bone of a Catholic saint: a different kind of tourist attraction.0
