ALL vouchers of £10.00 and over show 999 in the barcode. They just need to enter the voucher amount. I'd be complaining to HO about this store's refusal to accept the APG voucher if it's legit. Should expect at least an additional GC to compensate for the inconvenience/embarassment/annoyance.

The pringles ones are legit as in the comp spat the voucher out but I would not dream of sending a complaint to head office, personally I would just use it somewhere else (if it was not already used)

Nanny ...you must live near the only T in the country thats still stocking BNI....all the ones round my area have stopped due to needing the space for christmas stuff...

The other week I even had to go to S and get their curry deal...whilst its also £6 it still felt as if I was overpaying for it because of the T pp that a BNI produces

I think maybe it's because we have a Uni near by and its the students that buy them so they keep a little section going in this T's tucked away and I am always chuffed when I see the appropriate ones on the shelf as a good way of rinsing a decent pp;)

I've only ever gone over the £10 APG once by 72p...I was a little worried about presenting it but the SA just looked at it and said "gosh you did well there" and overrode it.

luckily I've never had a trouting over an APG.... but I know my time will come and I have perfected the calm but firm approach for when it happens...as learnt in T with my negotiations over DTD!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

See there has been a few troutings recently

Put yourself in sa shoes someone turns up with a voucher having spent £12 and have a £13 voucher from it would you not think it was dodgy ;);)
Especially if others have been using fake ones in their store and no doubt all be warned about accepting them from their managers

They are only doing a job folks ;)

If you go over £9.99 we all know they need to be input manually therefore making an already nervous sa even more wary ;)

I have never created an apg of over £10 myself.I have found quite a few wombes over £10 and only been trouted once on the womble for over £36.This was a genuine comparison so I wasn't worried at all:rotfl:.I try to keep my apgs under £8 and find this is better. The most I use at one time is 3.i find it's safer to mix a bit of proper shopping in with glitchy shops.Maybe I'm too careful.

    I didn't do the pringles

Just to add - from the comments above £9.98 seems to be the max that will scan through as £9.99 prompts the price prompt if I have understood correctly.

I have had a couple of £10+ A P Gs from legitimate (non-glitch) spends over the past month - what I have done a couple of times is add in a £20 or so (barcode scannable not swipe card) A gift card with a larger shop, then give them the A P G vouchers ... and paid any remaining amount with one of my other A giftcards ;). In theory it shouldn't work as you are not supposed to be able to pay for giftcards with giftcards or APG - but it didn't seem to present a problem (I think if you just tried buying giftcards the till would throw a wobble). Obviously CS dependent and I see how they are checking the receipts before adding in a couple more or signing off :).

My other top tip for today is if you have been getting the A giftcards from HSV I have been having no end of problems with them not scanning on any till and the CS having to type them in. In some stores/with some staff I have managed to get them to transfer the balance onto a new A giftcard at the CS desk (not all stores - some say that HO say you are not allowed :(). Check the A giftcards and there are some newer ones now that have a barcode scan rather than the magnetic swipe - transfer onto those and they seem to scan easily (barring the till last night where I had to pay real money again due to the till not accepting either type of giftcard - very annoying when I have hundreds of pounds on blinking giftcards )

WENDYAK - so sorry to hear about your loss.

QOC - hope you manage to get your coat sorted.

Went to use an APG voucher with the JF today. Got trouted big style. I was accused of fraud and for printing out vouchers more than once because someone else who uses my store has been doing it and they had a voucher for £12+ too. !!!!!!! Made me stand there near CS for over half an hour. I thought I was going to get arrested. I was proper bricking it. A manager was called who eventually OK'd it and let me go.

How do you guys manage to use big APG's without drama? :(:(:(

Mimi so sorry about your trouting sweetheart I can just imaging you stood at the CS getting all up the wall but at least the outcome was okay sending you a Nannylala hug x
