She has never been interested in christmas before, infact if anything shes not keen on any change in routine and is usually very vocal if something is not right...
She was a rescue cat and was one that had been overlooked and spent far too long at the cats home....possibly nearly a year....so when we got her 4 years ago she was really reluctant to go outside and made herself an inside cat.
She started to go out a year or so ago but was quite badly bullied by another cat hence us having to get a microchipped cat flap...but that cat moved and since then she has discovered a whole world outside the back door!
No idea where all this christmas stuff is from ...and theres going to have to come a point where I knock on the neighbours doors to see if I can give some back.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
Morning everyone
TS, you are not at all selfish. You are still grieving, deeply. Take good care of yourself and I hope things ease for you in time xx0 -

Lots of items on Tesco still going in basket at full price, that are half price from today. Just managed to add wine, cheese and household, used codes and a conditional spend. £92 basket should hopefully cost £28 tomorrow when I collect. Fingers crossed
Have a good day all x
There's a Choc Dairy Box 800G (£15 basket, actually £5) that I found useful for hitting conditional spends. (I had a 3 off 30 and a 6 of 25 spend that stacked, so 2 choc boxes would have been basket £30, actually £10, minus £9... £1 for 2! :rotfl: - except I decided that I needed to buy some real food, and to not be quite so blatant, so just got 1 box).
Like I really needed the excuse to buy chocs!0 -
Morning everyone. Please can someone remind me the online trigger for C&C 3for£5 toiletries. Thanks,0

Morning all
Hugs to all those with Christmas worries its not easy0 -
My opinions on christmas and family - Christmas was nice when the kids were little. Now I don't speak to DS2 and hardly ever see DS1 I don't enjoy Christmas so much. I do however enjoy showing off my tree which is the best decorated tree I've ever seen in a house, even if I do say so myself
We normally have dinner at MILs because my mum is miserable and can't be bothered making dinner for everyone, then again neither can I
but I did do it for new year 3 years ago
Last year DS1 was meant to join us for dinner at MILs but he didn't because he had a row with his girlfriend which I didn't find out about until next day as his phone was off, so I won't bother inviting him this year as he obviously isn't interested.
I do feel jealous of people who have loving caring families, but not in a nasty way, I just wish I could have that tooChristmas used to be good when my Grandparents were alive as they were the only ones in my family who cared about me, apart from OH who they never got to meet because they died before I met him. The rest of my family are selfish and only out for themselves, never thinking about how their actions and words hurt me
I'm not being depressed again, just reflecting on how it is for me, I've accepted now that this is the way it is and just make the best of it  To anyone who is lucky enough to have good family who care, you should treasure every moment because you just never know how long you have left with those people. Don't take them for granted.0 -
