Couple of NSD on the cards as well in preparation for the weekend!

While we're all complaining about Christmas arrangements... my parents have retired back to a warmer country, and my fella's family are the other end of the UK from us, so we alternate, and travel away to one or the other each year, which seems fair enough.
But it means I never get to do the type of 'Traditional' Christmas (from my childhood) I'd like. In my parents country its hot and sunny and they don't have a Christmas tradition, so while we do swap a gift and have a nicer than average meal, on the day that's about it. Fella's family just treat it as a day off, and sit in front of TV all day, chain smoking and eating microwave meals on lap trays.
Every year I hear people talking about buying their turkey, or what decorations they are having, or whether they will have a 'real' tree, or worrying about how to fit everyone round a table together... and I just wish I could have any of that
Anyway, hugs for everyone who is struggling with this stuff. We need scientists to hurry up and invent time machines so we can all somehow manage the Christmases we want!0 -
