That's a really good point dipdap, I had to keep checking that they had DVD drives when I was looking for one. There are loads out there that don't anymore.

    It's ridiculous isn't it
We asked before we bought it and the man selling us it looked and pointed to where the drive was in the picture (we suspected it didn't have one)
It turned out it had the flap bit for it but there wasn't one there
We took it back after a week and grumbled  they even told us to buy an external drive for it!
DS needed it for school and lugging around a separate drive would have been completely impractical.
Needless to say we got a full refund in the end :D and a better cheaper laptop came up within a week :j

  • Morning luvlies, way behind on catching up but wanted to thank OP re the spot on the Revlon glitch with the lipstick thingy in mr shoes, went to Lakeside with little sis yesterday and got a few stocking fillers :D

Thanks to mimi re the post about getting the new HOF beauty card - points loaded on to acc in store :D. Also bought the Decleor deal where you just need to purchase 2 full priced items (20% off yesterday) we got the mini face sets at £8.50 each less the 20% so £ 13.60 total spend and received a lovely satin make-up purse and we got to choose which 7 samples we would like to receive with it ;). SA even gave us a lovely big yellow Decleor bag lined with gold tissue to put it all in, will look lush under the tree :)

    Good morning everyone :)

I need to buy a new toaster. I've never had a toaster I've been happy with. I like toast to be almost burnt but soft on the inside and to achieve this the toaster needs to toast fast. New toasters are ok for a while but after a short time some elements don't burn so brightly so the bread takes longer to toast and this makes the toast hard :(

I'm wondering if anyone has found a decent and fast toaster where this doesn't happen and it toasts as well as when new for a couple of years or more. Has anyone found such a toaster that they would recommend please? :D

morning all. hope everyone is well, glad I decided to miss black friday:eek:

thanks for the best wishes with regard ds2 job application was on the desk at 4.50 am thanks to my dds lovely partner..

ds3 causing trouble today, they did a maths test and he got one question wrong, the teacher told them to correct the answers but he told the teacher that his answer was right and the teacher had worked it out wrong:eek: teacher very unhappy said it came from a test book checked it and insisted ds3 was wrong. but he still refused to alter his answer.. he was sent out of the room and accused of being disruptive :(. They phoned me and my first question was he rude. No was polite and apologized for pointing out teacher was wrong but he should have backed down and corrected his work.
Second question was he wrong, Teacher said so but no one else had checked. So I asked if they could check again. They phoned back he was right and the teacher was wrong, but still insist he should have done what he was told:eek::eek:. I in no uncertain terms told them if he was polite he has done nothing wrong and the teacher made a mistake and he should have the face to admit it and ds3 was not to be punished.. But deep down I wish he would learn to keep quiet I never realised having a bright child would be so much of a challenge :o:o:o:o:o:o
