Ooh exciting, hope it goes well. Not sure what you are eating but don't order anything that you might spill down your front. ;)

Can't believe the dinner party is nearly here already. I am off out to a birthday party myself tomorrow. :D

Asda was pleasant but busy. You had to go in one entrance and leave from the other. You had to queue to go in and there was police by the doors at both ends, by the tv's and electrically and going up and down the checkouts

Nothing took my fancy except some bubbs/uglybugs beef

Tesco was ok, 25% ALL clothing, footwear and accessories, including stuff in the sale

  • Good morning everyone :)

I need to buy a new toaster. I've never had a toaster I've been happy with. I like toast to be almost burnt but soft on the inside and to achieve this the toaster needs to toast fast. New toasters are ok for a while but after a short time some elements don't burn so brightly so the bread takes longer to toast and this makes the toast hard :(

I'm wondering if anyone has found a decent and fast toaster where this doesn't happen and it toasts as well as when new for a couple of years or more. Has anyone found such a toaster that they would recommend please? :D

I have a Tefal Avanti that is pretty fast, not sure if it would achieve that though, assume you have to use thick bread to do that. That said, bagels come out well cooked on the outside.

Edited to say I can't remember when I got it, we have had it for yonks!

Oh I seen a couple of bits in the sale at the start of the week that I liked the look of, might need to go see if they are still there

Thanks TS and DIPDAP. I think I will wait until my tech friend finishes work. Last time I bought a laptop it was one of those impulse purchases which cost £600 and the laptop was a Sony Vaio one which was a pile of !!!!!!!

Only Black Friday purchase for me has been a few pairs of jeans off of the Levi's website which had 30% off.

I have a Sony Vaio, it wasn't that much though. Bought it more than 4 years ago, have just replaced the battery. Had one or two dodgy moments but it is still going strong (touch wood)!

Wow. Nice one. Mine dropped off the perch ages ago and there were cracks all over it too. Boooo.
