Re: the chromecast, is it worthwhile considering one when we'll be having an xbox one for Christmas? I don't really get what it would do that the xbox wouldn't, so I don't know whether it's worth it as an extra stocking filler or not. I also read some terrible reviews that put me right off, as our internet is not the greatest at the best of times.

Got my kettle, one for me and one for mil, whose current one is leaking from the base!

I have a regular Xbox and still got a Chromecast, because I don't have Xbox Live so don't get to use my Xbox for Netflix and things.

It might not be worth it as I think the One is more of an entertainment hub...

:o:o:o Absolutely no idea what it does but I went along with the mass hysteria about it - I can always take it back ;)

    Good morning everyone.

Tiny has your double up voucher turned up yet???

    Fairclaire, good luck for today.

    Scampss (((hugs)))

Yes thanks exactly 12 hours they took.

And suppysavvymoi was right they knocked out the £10 off £50 and also the 10% code got reduced as it just got taken of my final balance, I would have saved it but couldn't find a way to remove it so only got extra £2 off.

Hopefully I can use the £10 code on another order fingers crossed said conditions had not been met.

It's basically a dongle thing that you can plug in to the side of your telly.

You use your mobile phone as a remote control for it. Here's how I use mine:

I play something on Netflix, iPlayer or NowTV on my phone, then there's a wee button to press on the screen which "casts" what I'm watching to my telly when the Chromecast is plugged in. You can also cast YouTube videos as well.

It needs wireless to work, and if you don't have a USB port on your telly it also needs to be plugged in to the mains.

Forgot to say, the only major streaming service I've found that doesn't work with Chromecast is Amazon's Prime streaming. It's a royal PITA.

Amazon want you to buy their FireTV instead which is £70. Mr Mooo is trying to work out a way round it for me.

    Good Black Friday to all.

Could one of the computing experts tell me if an Ipad Mini 16GB for £149 is a good deal? Also, is the Toshiba Satellite C50D-B, 15.6" Laptop, AMD A4, 8GB RAM, 1TB - Black any good for £249. Both on Tesco.com but I have no idea what is good and what is not. Please and thanks.
