It was stolen? What did the police say when you reported it?0

So it wasn't stolen.0

Police cant do crap
What with it not having been stolen...so I went and got my car back myself.
Bet that was an interesting conversation.
"I want my car back!"
"But you only rejected the repair yesterday, we've not re-done it yet."
"Don't care. I want my car back!"
"<shrug> Fine, sign here..."0 -
This thread is all kinds of weirdNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

I didn't reject the repair, I still haven't completed my inspection, yet come to a conclusion of rejection or not. While I opened the door taking photos he drove off while the door is open which seems like theft to me.
Haha I rather take my chances and park my car unlocked at a high crime location than let UK Assistance re-do the work. Now after seeing their reviews showing horror stories and a thread about them on this forum then you understand what I did was rescue. Rescue my car from being botched up by monkeys with sticks.
Rejection or no rejection that does not give them the right to drive off with my property (car) without my permission which is classed as theft simples. And what can the police do anyway? Take my statement and use their time and resources to investigate ROTFL? Are you having a laugh?0 -
That's ok then seems enough to convict him then, if you write your own statement on the back of a stamp the police won't need to investigate it and he'll get about five years for that.
I like to see the whole company go down not just him for allowing this to happen. That's the only way to stop and put a end to this.0 -
Don't bother with solicitors represent yourself, you've got a grand grip of English law.
Which does of course mean he is fully aware that he is implicit in defrauding the insurance company with the claim that somebody else was actually driving the car considered at fault...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
