You calling all non-fault drivers rubbish idiots who cant drive? You put your faith in statistics written up by the insurance companies that use it to justify increased premiums falsely. Man you need to wake up to reality seriously.

Like to see the look on your face when one day you get involved in a non-fault accident. You can laugh and reply that you wont be involved in a non-fault accident but you cant guarantee that. If you can guarantee that then you don't need car insurance lol.

    I did, 18 years ago.
Hopefully with 15 years no claims and a clean licence it wouldn't affect the premium much.
I don't disagree it's sh*t, but it is the way it is unfortunately.
I'm 35 and still have my mum as a named driver, every year I've saved a lot of money doing this, have you tried this?

I had a not-at-fault claim about five-six years ago. My car was reversed into whilst parked up, in a marked bay, outside my house. Somebody reversed straight out of the drive opposite, HARD, and my car stopped them going straight through my garden wall... And, yes, it did make parking there a higher-risk than parking elsewhere. In about a six-seven year period, we had cars hit there four times - twice very, very minor damage by people reversing out, this one claim, and once from somebody who parked up the hill and didn't put their handbrake on properly (but they were happy to sort in cash).

    We've since moved...

If you don't like how insurance works, either use millions of pounds to self-insure or don't drive. Those are your options.
I'm paying a higher premium because of a non fault claim, but I just get on with life.

Now I understand why millions of drivers in the uk are uninsured because insurance companies are a bunch of thieves. And also understand why whiplash claims are going up because drivers see it as justice against the insurance companies. Insurance companies steal from drivers and drivers fraud insurance companies. Its like a never ending war that needs to be stopped and I have a pretty damn good idea on who started this war.

My insurance is a little over £200.
I could crash into a million pound car and write it off, and put 4 passengers in hospital for life.
It would cost me my excess.
Guess you don't pay income tax either?

You must be high risk, then...

We've just renewed the everyday car for £115. The classic is £85. The Landy's looking like it's going to be about £90.

Remember the Selby rail crash, where the geezer dozed off at the wheel of his landrover and left the motorway and ended up on the tracks?

I believe the reserve on that claim was the wrong side of £40m. I bet Fortis (who were the insurers of the Land Rover) probably didn't take much more than £200-£300 in premiums from their policyholder for that year.

Dunno, 35 with an old diesel Passat, no points, mother as named driver, 15ish years no claims, 8k a year, professional driver.
Think postcode is low risk too.
I remember paying £1400 when I was 18, so it seems cheap to me!
Did run it on comparison site as elephant were trying to rip me off as usual.

Seems good value when you consider that - wasn't aware of the cost of that one :)
