Advice needed - discrimination in job application?

Actually working in McDonalds is considered the lowest rung of the employment ladder, that is why they only employ people who hardly speak English and haven't even heard of a shower!
Personally I think the lowest rung of the employment ladder is people who haven't even got a job because they are too stupid/arrogant/infantile to be able to write and submit a CV using a computer.0 -

Not having a job does not count as being on the employment ladder. Someone who is actively seeking work that is not beneath them is doing far better for themselves than the sort of person who can't do anything better with their life than work for a fast food chain.
Your post proves what is wrong with people's attitudes, someone who has no need to learn about computing should not be considered stupid/arrogant or infantile. They just have a different belief than you and don't spend their whole life on the computer.0 -

Going back to your original argument(s), there is no excuse for a lack of computer skills here in this day and age. I taught a friend of my parents how to use his computer and he's well away with it - it only took a few lessons. He's 94.
It's generally an attitude problem, as opposed to a real inability to learn and/or adapt.0 -
