You are aware that Street View can be several years out of date? In my case you'd see a building site!

Or you might just see the house before the potential employee even lived in it. But of course the employer would cross reference the Street View image with the Land Registry to eliminate that problem.

From the point-of-view of an employer we ONLY accept electronic CVs.
The reason is that we get so many applicants that we do not have time to spend reading and digesting all the CVs we receive so they basically get filtered by software looking for keywords that either include or exclude them.

It may seem harsh but when you have 200+ CVs to read through and want less than 10 for interview then it is the most efficient way.

That is why I continually say that it is important to have a good CV that is tailored to the job being applied for - you have to try pre-empt what keywords the filtering software may be looking for.

PS: Oops, just realized there are several pages of responses already.

    Seriously? lol

Has 'red bull chugging' been added to the list of protected characteristics? Or do you think it somehow fits into the existing protected characteristics? I can't see how as drinking red bull isn't an activity exclusive to people who have a particular protected characteristic (I know young people, older people, men, women, gay people and people with disabilities who drink a red bull!).

Just because some who don't understand the law in relation to discrimination will shout 'discrimination' at anything doesn't mean the employer has anything to worry about. If the red bull chugger tried to bring a discrimination case they would not get very far at all.

    Well the user mentioned 3 reasons;

    - Clothes
    - Roots
    - Red bull swigging

Not too sure whether "roots" would be classed under race, maybe it would or maybe it wouldn't

No, but the user mentioned something about her background

Well, if you go for a job with the British Security Services, the interview process is quite bizarre.

Q1. How do you make a cup of tea?

Well, apparently I didn't answer that one properly as there were no further questions.

It depends on the job. If you want to employ someone who is a workaholic, then a party girl isn't the ideal candidate. The majority of CVs don't pubish DOB so how are you to know if the woman is a fertile murtile or a barren Karen? :rotfl:

I joke, but I am sure it's done.

It wouldn't. I can't believe anyone would even suggest that it might be. What 'race' do you think is particularly associated with bad roots?
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!

There was a TV series about black slavery called Roots. There were a few baddies in there

I would say White dark haired women are most associated with bad roots.

So what was the answer they were expecting:
    "Get M to do it"
"Use one of Q's tea maker/nuclear bomb devices"
"Infuse darjeeling from one of the old territories with boiling water for 230 seconds in a porcelain teapot, then decant onto 20ml of whole Friesian milk warmed to 37 degrees, stir with silver spoon, and sip while guffawing gently at the cartoon on page 7 of the Daily Telegraph"

It would be more interesting to hear what his answer was. I suspect it was something ridiculous.
