In fairness (yes, here come the excuses) it is to feed a fairly of 5 over Xmas and we'll have an extra 9 adults (in ribs and drabs) throughout that time too.
(Oh alright, £100 of it is chocolate and alcohol. I suck! January's good to go though, sod the budget this month! :rotfl: )
Love it, have you been testing the alcohol already, just to be sure its OK for the fairy and ribs and drabs :rotfl:Slimming World at target0 -

year's food budget £1,9200 -
Have just done my shopping list for the weekend (and hopefully won't need to go shopping again until the new year!).
Will go to Icel*nd for some eggs, milk & bread. Morries had a special on Jac*b's crackers so hopefully they still have those! Also need to buy some quark.
Will get everything else from the farm shop - sack of pots, salad, carrots & courgettes.
Think that's all I need to get.

My accounts app gives me totals. Usually at this point in the month I would have spent around 180-200.
This month I'm pushing £600

There's a lot to be said for plain cooking. The boy and I had cheese toasties for dinner tonight because that was all we fancied. When I was small egg and chips was an acceptable evening meal. I remember my teenage uncle coming home to beans on toast and a blue riband biscuit. My great aunt told me that my nana who was born in 1921 refused to eat anything but a cream cake for her evening meal once she started work (my great aunt was sent to fetch said cake every afternoon).0
