    *hangs head in shame*

In fairness (yes, here come the excuses) it is to feed a fairly of 5 over Xmas and we'll have an extra 9 adults (in ribs and drabs) throughout that time too.

(Oh alright, £100 of it is chocolate and alcohol. I suck! January's good to go though, sod the budget this month! :rotfl: )

I would be delighted but I then went to Boots and spent £52 on a lovely gift, I do not need and for someone I have already bought for. Stupid me. I will try to contain myself and keep it for her birthday in November. Will makeup keep to November?
    .
I'm not sure as some say 6 months for makeup. Why don't you just take it back and get a refund ??

Good morning, not long now, is everyone ready for christmas? My budget is looking good, Iv got about £120 (rough) left for December, I have most of my shopping in for this week, just need stuff for buffet boxing day and fresh fruit an veg, Iv got all my meat in, freezer still looking quite healthy. Was very tempted to get a goose this year for xmas day but saw the price of them £33 in morrisons, could not justify for two of us so bought Turkey, gammon and beef which will see us through the big day and several meals after. Will update siggy at end of the month, have a great christmas everyone x:xmassign:

NSD # 10 yesterday. Will need to go into town today so T's and Lidl both are due. I'll try to stick to the list.

Didn't go shopping yesterday as only needed a couple of bits, neither of which was that urgent.

Really pleased that I've still got nearly £120 left for this month and have a full, small chest freezer and fridge/freezer. Plenty of tins, baking stuff etc in the cupboards.

Don't have much left to buy for Christmas, most of which I'll be buying tomorrow, including a 1/2 sack of potatoes & some loo rolls (don't want to be running out of those over Christmast, lol!)

  • Ok spent £15.57 yesterday on the following:-

£8.34 in butchers on 2 pounds stewing steak & 6 sausages - not my usual butcher as I had to use one by work
£3.63 at the f&v stall on 400g closed cup mushrooms, 3 big field mushrooms and 2 peppers
£3.60 in sainsbury's on double cream, white wine vinegar (making chutney for christmas hampers) & earl grey teabags

Made a huge pot of beef stew in the slow cooker some to eat tonight and rest in freezer (if I can find space otherwise its a pilgrimage to the garage where the mutant spiders live*shudders* to put in the freezer in there ) and also a huge pot of bolognaise for last nights tea and am making a lasagne tomorrow so just need to make the bechamel sauce and assemble. Half of this may go in the freezer too. That's if I can get to it before my husband eats it all. I really do not know where he puts it.
That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!
