  • I have a 13 year old daughter and she loves Top Shop, Jack Wills and New Look. I would say anything from there and she'll be more than happy.
  • superdry have 50% off their small size dresses at the moment :)
The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5

I would give her vouchers for whichever shop you choose. At 13 I would never have worn clothes that someone else chose for me and I imagine a lot of teens would be the same! I had an aunt who would buy me stuff and I would only wear it if she was coming round!

I am not sure asking on a forum is a good idea because teen fashion seems to be different in different areas. Cath Kidston bags are hugely popular with teens where my friend lives, but teens where I live wouldn't be seen dead with them.
  • I think it's time to move on from buying clothes for her. They're an unpredictable lot are 13 year olds - even if she told you exactly what she wanted today, it might be out of date by Christmas.

Money is the way to go I'm afraid - not as much fun for you, but will be much appreciated by her.

Think about what you like and then buy her the opposite. Or perhaps you could offer to take her shopping in the sales instead.

I had a CK overnight bag last year as a gift and love it. Offered it to DD to borrow to go to Amsterdam with her friends and her look said it all! According to her they are for middle age biddies like me!

I dislike giving money and if you ask parents I'm sure they can give you directions on what gift to get. It maybe a bag, beauty items, sports kit, or a certain make item of clothing. No fun in giving or receiving money unless you are a poor uni student who gets very excited when I open my purse!

  • Thank you all. Honestly she is very much into Joules and Boden. You have just jolted me that I remember she likes Animal too!

Does anyone know if they have any money off codes?

    Thanks

If she liked Boden when she was younger then I'd definitely say she'd like Jack Wills. They have all sorts from underwear through sweatshirts to dresses. And they have cheapish fun stuff like make up bags and bracelets.

I totally agree with this - I no longer buy clothes at all for my 13-year old unless she is with me. Too unpredictable, and they all like to have their own style. Even in her favourite shops (Jack Wills, New Look etc) there are certain things that would be a complete no-no for her.

OP either take her shopping, giving her a budget to spend, or give her money for her present, with a nice card.
