  • Did you leave £1000 there until you got your incentive or you took the £1000 out on same/next day?

I'm tempted to take out my £1000 out and put it to good use.

It's still in there but not for much longer. Waiting to see if the Barclays rumour is correct.

Even text messages (for online banking activation) take ~5 minutes to arrive from these jokers.
And it's not my provider as sms are always instant from Santander.

Only took 5 seconds for me.

Yes in chunks of £300 but you'll be lucky to get them all out without some being referred to fraud department.

Depending on the card supplied, either £350 or £500 from an ATM.

Not everyone wants to get it out in cash. Most people making large withdrawals are likely to want to make transfers out.

I had to break mine into smaller chunks before the oddly named 'security token' (actually just the usual code generating device) arrived to get round their daft Faster Payments limit.

That led, inevitably, to the payments being blocked.

This really is a very badly thought out account. The sooner they pay out the £150 and I can transfer the account elsewhere the better.
