My account is up and running, and my switch should be going through any day now.
How long after account opening do I need to credit the £1k?
And do I HAVE to register for internet banking or not?0 -

Am I the only one here who has had a smooth-ish ride?
Quite possibly.... I had missing paperwork, duplicate paperwork, missing envelope, delayed switch and as for the internet banking, that's well n truly 19th century, but thankfully I'll only have to use it once PM.0 -
Well; there we go. Account opened, account switched. £1,001 in today, £1,000 back out.
Lets wait and see...43580 -

You not going to keep with them. So far I have found them to be OK so will stay as my bills account until another incentive shows up. That's the last for me on the rounds.
I can't see NatWest, Lloyds or Barclays giving away £150 to join them any time soon.0 -

No; I will stick with them for the 2%. I've maxed the Santander 123, TSB Classic Plusses and Tesco accounts, but won't touch Lloyds with a bargepole even for 4% after a couple of incidents in the past.
They seem to be a nice bunch to be honest - my only gripe was the first application pack never appearing, but when the second one came out it was plain sailing, albeit slower than other banks.43580 -

where/how, did you 'order' this please.0 -

You order it online – via the administration section of internet banking.
You just click on order security token – and they will send one in the post in a padded envelope. Unusually it comes from an English postal address. You may also be able to get them at a branch.
You then activate it online as well – as per my link above.0 -
sorry, yes see/done it now.
what a lot of faffing about0 -
Wowsers. It looks like my transfer completed today. Woohoo!
Mine completed yesterday.
Transferring the money in today. Initially did £500 x 2 but then worried it might need to be a single payment of £1000 so have done that too.
After losing out to the small print of the Coop incentive I don't want to take any risks!
So far it's not been too bad but there have been some bizarre and convoluted steps that have been needed to get parts of the account working.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
