Neither is correct as Yorkshire Bank plc doesn't exist.
They are either simply Yorkshire Bank or Clydesdale Bank plc. They certainly are hard work.
Their business cards and headed paper give the address as:-
Yorkshire Bank plc
34 Princes Street
STOCKPORT
SK1 1RE
the correct address using Postcode Finder is:-
Yorkshire Bank plc
34 Princes Street
STOCKPORT
SK1 1SEThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
In this context: they sometimes seem to forget to confirm the validity of their online registration. Next renewal date looks to be July 26, 2015 - someone wish us luck!0

What a fiasco trying to register for internet banking
My customer number has finally arrived by snail-mail at the second attempt so I went online to register and it now says I have to wait for an activation code, sent either by text message or post. Madness. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

That's pretty standard in my experience.
The text message did take about five minutes to arrive - I was worried it was going to time out since you've only got about 10 minutes to enter the number! But it worked eventually.
YB have now sent me both a cheque book AND a paying-in book. How quaint. I haven't seen one of those since the late 90s.0 -
Registered for web banking using my debit master card and mobile phone and it all went through smoothly. Also set up the iOS banking application easily.
Received confirmation of switching today. PIN not arrived yet for card.
Am I the only one here who has had a smooth-ish ride?0 -

I phoned the call centre and the operator claimed that they had sent it by snail-mail the same day they sent my customer number. Presumably being swept around with all the xmas post.
Don't forget when you finally get set up on line to order your security token - as without it you cannot make payments online of more than £300.
And when you get it - activate it carefully - because if you make a mistake it won't work and you will have to order another one. The token is similar to what HSBC give account holders - but bigger and way more hassle to activate!
"In the Administration menu, find Security Token.
Underneath that, select Activate Token
Switch on your Security Token with the OK/Power button
The Security Token will ask you to Enter PIN. Put in the 4-digit temporary Security Token PIN you’ll see on your Internet Banking screen
The Security Token will then ask you to enter a New PIN
Enter your own 4-digit Security Token PIN on the token keypad, then press the OK/Power button
Your PIN is used to access the Security Token, and should be something only you know
Re-enter your new PIN to confirm. That will now be the number you use every time
This final step activates your Security Token.
Press 1 on the Token keypad when ‘Select’ is displayed. You’ll see an 8-digit number.
Enter the number in Internet Banking and press ‘Submit’"
Got that!:D:D0 -
Yorkshire Bank are the first bank ever to address me as my middle name followed by my first name in writing. And the letter with the PIN with an incorrect middle initial.
Are they struggling a bit or is this usual?0
