Thankyou Visigig.
Never experienced this with ASDA - I always pay with CC rather than DCNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

Rich chap
Anyway in the end I got the bank letter stating the credit is authorised, upon my presentation of evidence and insistence ASDA offered 5 pounds of compensation. (ASDA refused to compensate at first)
I took 6 pounds in the end because I took the metrolink there on the first and second day, and 6 GBP is what two return tickets from Manchester City Centre to ASDA Eastside costs.
Well, at least justice is served.0 -
And hopefully ASDA have lost a customerOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

So I take it the authorisations were to blame?0 -

And never use them again.
They did the same to me, just the once. Now if I need online groceries I will only use Sainsbury's/Tesco/Waitrose.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Asda can be pretty abrupt with their ordering system - I ordered from them, paid by CC, and then got a text saying it had been cancelled, an hour before it was due.
I phoned them, got told the CC were running a random security check (?) so they had just cancelled it.....phoned the CC company, as there was plenty of limit left, and they said all it had needed was a phone call from Asda to confirm address etc., as they were doing routine checks.
Phoned ASDA to find out why they couldn't have phoned them or me, instead of just cancelling. and was just told it was procedures, unlike all the other supermarkets.
Won't be using them again lol
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
I cancelled my order with Asda 7 - 10 days before it was due for deliveryt. On day of delivery I received an email from them informing me order was on way, I contacted them to inform them that order was cancelled, and not to send delivery. ALSO TO RETURN MY MONEY WHICH THEY TOOK FROM MY ACCOUNT THAT MORNING B4 DELIVERY DUE.
lo and behold Delivery arrived which I refused and never signed for. did all the things I had too ie, contact costumer help, contacted bank.... who gave me the Auth Code ........rang store, who were adament no monies were taken from my account, I beg to differ, terrible attitude from girl on phone.
Have to wait 5 - 10 days before i get money back.
