Linking your Hermes account with ebay could be a good move

How do I do this please?

Also I don't have a printer can I save the details and print the address at my local library?

I sell on Ebay and I have been advised by a friend to use Hermes. Can anyone tell me if they are good or not, or should I go to someone else?

Many thanks and hope you can help.

Hermes generally have a really good reputation, but it depends on how many items you send a day, each carrier has its own benefits and (in some cases) drawbacks.

Log in to your Hermes account, click on the ebay banner, or go to 'Import Shipments', you can add your ebay account there.

Re labels - I've seen a button after payment saying email label, just never used it.

If you go to 'Print Labels', Hermes creates a pdf file, you can save that file, email it, save it flash drive etc and take it somewhere else to print.

I guess the library idea will work as long as you can access your flash drive/ email or even maybe just log on to your Hermes account in the library and print direct?

I was reluctant for years, until Royal Mail and Collect plus raised their prices so high - i gave em a go.

Now over 200 parcels sent, and all arrived safely.

£2.78 tracked up to 1kg with generous sizing is a bargain.

Just remember - they dont cover electronics - so use Royal Mail or Parcelforce, amongst others, for anything of value.

My local shop keeper got talking to a customer and discovered he sent dozens of parcels a day via Royal Mail. They persuaded him to give Hermes a go. He did and was very happy.

Two weeks later he stopped coming with his parcels to the shop. When he finally popped in to buy something, they asked why he had stopped - and had they done anything wrong?

Hermes had contacted him direct and said don't use that shop - we will pick up from your house.

So the angry shop owner as ended his relationship with Hermes and i now have to go further to drop off. :(

I use Hermes for the bulkier items I sell, very pleased with them so far but I do pay the extra £1 for signed for.
My local Hermes courier is great, he will leave packages outside my back door if I am out and the back gate is open, however I did order some ceramic items recently which he just lobbed over the back gate as it was locked - luckily nothing was broken! My kids go to school with his grandchildren (small village!) so I did not complain!
I have had the odd delivery that smells of smoke when my regular courier is away as well..
  • have to recommend hermes myself, never had a problem in the many times I use them, aint been to a post office for nearly a year now, book and print the slip, stick it on the parcel and drop it off at the petrol station over the road, no waiting in for it to be picked up.

should add I use parcel2go to book them.

so that they don't just get lobbed over a fence if someone is out!

Adding £1 to each delivery is expensive you might be better with another carrier.
