    Right she has been unfollowed!

Just checked my FB and she's at it again, this time sharing a "Britain First" moronic video of Muslims burning poppies.

    What. A. !!!!!!!!

Bunnie, if you feel the need to express a counter-view to hers, why not just leave a comment but not return to see any responses? I've done that in the past, it prevents getting dragged into some silly argument but you know you've put your point of view out there to them.

Alternatively, I'd just hide all their posts so I can see nothing from them on my newsfeed but I don't have to go through all that "why did you unfriend me/a.n other?"

I don't do Facebook so don't actually understand how 'unfriending' and 'unfollowing' works, but what's the point of unfollowing her then still looking at your FB and seeing what she's doing? smiley-confused013.gif

    Don't just unfollow. Block her.

That way, you can't see anything she posts ever again, and as far as she's concerned, you've just disappeared off FB.

Sorry, but it is clear to me that psychologically, you do not want to delete her.

You enjoy her posts, enjoy feeling superior in some way, enjoy the drama of it all, enjoy talking about her, being involved in her life, the controversy of her viewpoints.... on some level you are fascinated by her...take your pick

I expect to get flamed for this, but I guarantee that I am correct, or this thread would not exist, and deleting someone you dislike from your own facebook would be a no brainer - which it is, for people, who do ACTUALLY do not wish to stay in contact with someone they claim to dislike. Not being friends with someone you dislike is not a big descision.

    Think about it

There is something to be said in favour of the idea of teaching English as a foreign language. English is not actually 'taught' in schools any more.

I'm in an evening class learning German. Mainly we're learning it practically - how to say who you are, where you come from, ask the way, buy a kilo of tomatoes etc but we do learn some grammar. Last week I was amazed to find that others in the class didn't know what is a verb, a noun etc - in English! If they ever learned any basic grammar they've long forgotten it. 'I live, thou livest, he/she/it lives' etc. If you don't know that, how can you hope to progress to 'ich wohne, du wohnst, er/sie/es wohnt'.

My seven year old grandson could tell you all about nouns, verbs, adverbs and adjectives. He goes to the local primary and they certainly do learn grammar.

how weird - most of the Wiccans and believers in the 'Spirit World' I know, tend to be some of the most open-minded Liberal people! I think her facebook page is probably mostly 'made up' and her rants give a huge clue as to the type of person she really is.
I would 'unfriend' her. and if she ask why, just tell her what you have told us. You find her a real bigot and don't want to know her.

Yep I don't get why you would even BE friends with someone that you find so repugnant!

I remember someone who was a penpal of mine, 3 or 4 years back, saying 'oh !!!!!!, another gay freak gets to adopt a baby (talking about Elton John and his husband.)

BANG, she was gone! Off my facebook and out of my life! Never wrote to her again. Simples.

  • I hate the word Xmas as well ....but there again perhaps I should be thankful that we haven't started using 'Holidays' to describe the festive period

I've taken the coward's way out of dealing with these sort of people.....unfollowed them so I don't get the daily dose of dross but can keep in touch if needs be
