To get to 11 stone or no Australia trip

Ive ad a mixed fortnight as last week I was pretty much married to work and the week before wasn't much better. I'm taking my su away for a few days from tomorrow too so going to get on the straight and narrow from Friday as it should all quieten down a bit. I've stayed the same at 14 stone 7kb, which isn't too bad. I worked out earlier there's around 38 weeks to go if I do go mid January. I think I'm going to book it when I get to 13 stone as then I will still feel let down if I don't reach 12 stone, but I do want to get it booked when I'm closer to my target.
Hope everyone is getting to there target too and enjoying the better weather:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

I think I'm going to go off the one at home as although I originally thought works are best I started off weighing at home so think I aught to stick with it. So I've pretty much lost 3 stone from the start. I cannot believe it, more so as I danced around the kitchen reminding my mum that there's only half a stone between us (there were around 3 stone plus difference at one point and boy did I used to get ribbed for it all the time) so I took great glory in celebrating. Plus I think it dawned on my mum so hopefully the cream cakes won't keep coming in as other than sometimes getting a sausage roll on the go I don't normally bother. I'm a bit partial to a cupcake now and again, but that might need to hold off until my birthday in November (if I'm 12 stone 7lb for my birthday or less I'll be ecstatic.) I picked the dog up earlier to weigh her and she weighs over 2 stone. I was quite chuffed when i said I've lost the same as you in weight
I'm quite surprised to be honest as I've not been overly strict on the diet (have had chocolate eggs and a couple of creme eggs, a cake with strawberries in it, had a huge dinner at ladyboys of Bangkok too).
So I think I'm going to start and write what I have daily on here. I many times have to say to myself 'a minute on the lips a lifetime on the hips' and if and when I get it off I'm tempted to get it tattood somewhere to remind myself. But I do need to watch what I eat and when. I'm taking a su away for a few days in a few weeks time as this weeks was cancelled, which will be a challenge to cut down on but I really really want to stay on track.
So here's to the next 2 stone 7 lbs (or 35lbs) to go
It is tough when those items that you crave are within easy reach, my husband's diet is atrocious. The only healthy meals he has are the ones I cook for him otherwise he would quite happily live off takeaways, prepackage items and frozen potato products. The fact that he is slim as well is a real kicker but I know that I am both healthier and fitter than he is, even though I am overweight.
You suggested posting what you are eating? Have you decided not to do this now? I mention this as I find it helps focus my attention on the healthier foods if I know I have to "fess up" as such.
You have done really well so far. Keep going and that Australia trip will seem all the sweeter! That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

I'm going to start it tomorrow. I've had to take my su to a funeral so it's took it out on me as it's quite tiring sometimes.
I Definately think it's in the preparation. I'm off for a fortnight in a weeks time so thinking of starting a food plan too as ill find it easier to plan for it all. Plus if I have a plan I'll prob stay on track better as I do just snack if I'm not careful:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

I've weighed myself today and im still 14 stone 7lbs. I've not been to the gym, but I've worked it out when walking to work today and I need to lose 5lbs per month to get to target. I'm off a fortnight from tomorrow so will be able to put more effort in and plan going forwards exercises etc:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Also someone mentioned (it might have been on here) about a career break. My boss had to pop over so I asked them and they said the company do do them so when I get to 13 stone 6lb (as I'll be below 4 stone so will be happier booking it then) I'll start and approach it more as they said to email. Some of the service users know about it so I'm surprised they haven't dropped it in in conversations before:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Hi dawyldthing
I thought I would stalk you one ur thread, as the one on overseas got very full lol
You can book ahead for flights around 9 months in advance so there is no problems looking at flights and visas lol!!
Keep going but just have that thought in the back of ur mind that it might be a bit more insentive to get to that last stone/half a stone!!
Good Luck!!!

I've priced the flights up for the original trip at around £900 but that was to New Zealand and out of Oz, but am seriously considering the working holiday visa though as like I said there's always care jobs in my area. Choices choices eh:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Unfortunately its one of the sad and hard facts of life until they come up with a cure to everything, careers will always be needed!! A family member has been dipping in and out of being a career for years there is always as much or little work as you want.
there is a great website momondo.co.uk to look at flight options. Keep going with the weight loss, I'm plateaued atm cant seem to get over this bump!! but my new friend fit bit is getting me a bit more active and not causing too much pain (I have hip issues)

I keep looking at possibly nannying as I've worked at summer camps in America and Canada and trained as a teacher but failed final placement after 4 years training (wouldn't want to go back into it) and while its low paid (looks like $200 a week) they seem to let you live and eat there so it could be a good way of seeing places. I've toyed with the idea before, just think I might go for it in a few months as it will be a change. Did you say your off to New Zealand?:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

There did seem to be a lot of families advertising on gumtree (when I was there so 5+ years ago lol) for babysitters/nannys especially around Sydney, as I had a degree (completely not related to childcare) I had an interview for one but I didn't go for it as I got the job at Ayers Rock.
Yep, off to NZ I would of loved to of worked in Oz again but when I went my original thoughts were just to do the year I wasn't fussed about the 2nd year but by the time I had changed and wanted to stay it was too late to do the 3 months farming to get the 2nd year
I got an email though today and ive been selected to volenteer in India so thats going to start off my travels :jThanks to money saving tips and debt repayments/becoming debt free I have been able to work and travel for the last 4 years visiting 12 countries and working within 3 of them.
