I assum you have an "offline" card which need authorisation at all times.0 -
For some reason I quite like petrol stations.
The only ones I actually don't like are Supermarket ones - which I only use when we get a voucher with the shopping. With those the stations are fine its the customers - any kind of queing, politeness or patience seems to not exist in the supermarket petrol station forecourt.0 -
I put petrol stations in the same bracket as those brown envelopes I receive from HMRC, always painful to be reminded how much your paying out in tax.
Especially when I get updates from a friend who has moved to Dubai, who has swapped from driving a diesel crap box in the Uk to a 7.2l V8 and he says its much cheaper to run!.0 -
No problems with petrol stations really only gripe sometimes takes a while for petrol attendant to allow fuel to flow but dare say they are busy0

I find petrol stations rather emotional.
Went to one on Tuesday and started to fill up...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Never had a pump hose that didn't pull out far enough to reach the other side, what on earth are you driving?
My fuel cap is on the left hand side of the car. Always loads of cars with caps on the left.
When Dad fills up with his cap on the right, every car has the cap on their right too. Typical! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

What is highly annoying is when all the occupants of the right filler cap cars go into the petrol station and do their weekly shop. A petrol station should just sell fuel. Having to wait 15 minutes for someone to shop is too much (nobody ever uses the shopping bays!). Because of the shopping, the queues are longer than schindlers list.
Also the diesel pumps are filthy. The toilets are usually ghastly. One time two checkout girls were gossiping and I had just subjected my daughter to a filthy toilet (we put toilet roll everywhere to avoid the dirt). I marched up to them and told them their time would be better spent cleaning the toilets.0 -
