Hopefully there will be a little surprise at the end of the challenge and there will be a few more £££ than expected. I'm sure you will manage to get ahold of more change. I'm now delighted to get change back from the shopsGreat to read everyone's stories.. Yes Whitesatin, my money is also too accessible and I dipped in mine but I have replaced it. I have £15 in mine now.
Glad you had a good time MrCF in Paris... can you imagine this.. if we all save our money, we could all go this time next year, might get discount with all the members lol... Wow, there is going to be enough money to make a dent in the National Debt!!
Keep it up everyone
PM winging its way across MrCF as I cant access the spreadsheet, I think its an email issue my end as I cant for the life of me remember my google account details.. duh
Yes, come the end of the challenge there should be a considerable amount saved. If we all do well it should be over £30,000.
I've added your email onto the list so you should now be able to access the spreadsheet.uselessnow wrote: »Due to financial circumstances I have had to lower my standing order to 50p a day for the foreseeable future. So I will be saving £182.50 in 2015
Hopefully if things pick up I will be able to change it back to a £1 a day plus any extras
Not a problem useless now. You save what you can afford. I'm pretty sure your doing fantastic so far so I have no doubt you will manage to find more

On 7th December I want to update. I fill in the morning with £7 saved for December and I give my username and challenge number.
On the 14th, I want to put in another update. What I do now is the exact same but my total would be £14.
On 21st, I want to put in another update. I fill the form in again but it will be £21 saved for December.
For the final Months update on 31st, il update the form again with the same details but it will be £31 saved for December
So if we quickly move onto January, il put in an update for January with £7 saved on the 7th. You do not add this to the previous months as I will do this on the spreadsheet.
You are basically updating me with how much you have saved for that particular month only. That's how it's important to do a final months update so I can see what you've finished on. For people who have completed their £31 for December, I will presume they are finished and don't want to add anymore.
I completely apologise for the confusions everyone. I'm a bit of a techno freak and know computers and technology very well so it's easy for me :rotfl:
Thank you I have got it now. I do love the spreadsheet.Slimming World at target0 -

I haven't had a chance to look at the spread sheet yet, it's so busy at school at the moment I come home and I'm exhausted, I only work in the office so I don't know how the teachers are coping!

Just thought I would share my thoughts with you. For the past couple of years we have tried to save £50 a month to pay for gifts throughout the year but mainly Christmas presents. My problem has been that, every day, I look on "deal" sites and cannot resist buying presents to put away in advance. Just this morning I bought two microscopes from Amazon to put away for future gifts. The trouble is, I often can't resist giving my grandchildren their presents when they visit instead of waiting till a special occasion. This is not good for them, I know. Not to mention getting in a muddle with my finances. Now I am going to really try and stop looking every day as the temptation is too great. By saving our usual amount and with the extra I am now saving through the pound a day thing, I reckon I will be in a better position to grab the inevitable bargains nearer Christmas next year. That way I won't have a selection of gifts put away that don't seem as relevant as they did when I bought them, as bargains. So, apart from buying my cards in the January sales, I am just going to do it all this time next year. I am putting this in writing for myself as much as anything, lol.0
