Had the washing machine and fridge delivered on Tuesday
Washing machine waste pipe leaks (not the actual one from the machine but the u-bend on the fitted pipes)
Water inlet pipe to the machine also leaks
Fridge makes loads of noise but not sure if that's because it's still pretty empty
Had a mate round last night to look at the little leak on the electric shower and quote on putting new tiles up and he's condemned the shower
Power socket on the back of the telly playing up and the remote has died, but it is at least 8yrs old and has moved flats at least 10 times
I managed to chip a wedge out of my dining table
I'm sure there is still plenty more to go wrong, it's all the joys of owning a property

Been just over a month since my last post, not a huge amount happened, made a couple of small over payments but been buying a few new bits so not as much as I will be making in the next few months. Not planning on buying any more furniture or carpets for about 3-4 months while I clear out a few bits and decide colours/styles.
To do-
-My bedroom, maybe new bed, maybe get some pics for the walls, tidy shelving unit, clear out the drawer and sock drawers
-En suite needs the grout whitening, new lino, new sink, mirror
-The spare room is now a store room, waiting for my dad to come help me build the wardrobe as its too big for me to do myself, but once I've got curtains that room will be done, want to get my cross stitch framed so that can go on the walls
-main bathroom painted but needs a few touch ups, new lino, storage, shelves, towel rails, new bath panels
-kitchen, change bulb, choose paint, paint, find a clock I like, maybe change tiles, change worktop, change oven and hob, find a kitchen bin & veg rack, clear out useless gadgets and tubs
-living room don't even want to think about all that needs doing.
-hall needs painting, new light fittings (current ones look kind of like UFOs), clean the carpet/new carpet
Sure there's lots more to go on here but that's a basic for nowMortgage started 02/2015 opening balance -£183,349

Brilliant- i say just enjoy doing it then. Cause once it's done you'll be so chuffed! We moved last year and spent a lot of cash and a year buying things and getting the place the way we want it. Now it's done that'll be it for a number of years.
We also used interest free finance for the larger items and it worked well cause they are nearly paid off now.Mortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535

Crikey, quite a list - are you going to do a room at a time or a hotch potch of everything which is less productive, much more messy and how I would tackle it.

Because I work odd hours it'll be VERY hotch potch and just what I can fit in on the day. My dad says he'll try and come up tomo which means I'll be able to finally have my clothes hung up properly and will be able to finish putting what I want in the spare room so my living room won't look like a junk shop anymore (well, not a well stocked one anyway)
Today I'll be having a tidy up, making sure all the stuff to put the wardrobe together is laid out and taking LOTS of cardboard to the recycling centreMortgage started 02/2015 opening balance -£183,349
