I'm am so rubbish at keeping up to date on here, I get caught up reading posts and never get around to updating my own.
Anyway, I'm just in the process of remortgaging, I'm only a year in to a two year fix but it's at 5.19% and my flag has gone up a lot in value so I'm hoping to get accepted for a new deal at 2.2%, this would save me over £300 per month so when I did the maths it with out best to pay the fee to get out.
I've started selling on Shpock and it's not going too bad, as usual people want something for nothing but over the past couple of weeks I've made about £12 cash and £30 PayPal, putting this money towards renovating the flat. Well putting the money back in the savings that I've already spent. I am lucky that my company has a discount scheme with a number of retailers so managed to save a bit on the work tops and appliances and off to buy paint next week.
Challenges I've set myself
-no spending REAL money on Amazon, just using vouchers I've earned (unless it's something necessary and Amazon is cheapest, I had to get a new filter for my boiler and no vouchers left)
-only spend £200 on new underwear this year, this might seem a lot to some but it's one of my two indulgences, I rarely buy clothes, shoes, bags or make up
-only spend £100 on Elemis, my second indulgence, I've got a lot stock piled from gift sets last year so should be ok till around August, unless I spot some awesome deals
-only spend £5 per week on food/drink at work
-remember to actually use YNAB when I spend
-stop impulse buying craft magazines for 6 months at least
-meal plan for batch cooking to keep my new freezer full of healthy meals and snacks
-use up more of my cross stitching stash and maybe try and sell some of the pieces to buy the kits I want
-2hrs per week doing surveys and clicks

Been doing more shpocking, so far I've listed 139 items!! So far I've sold about £50 worth of items (and I've only purchased £42 worth of stuff so winning on that lol) and if everything sells for what I e asked that would give me £660! Though I know it won't all sell or all go for asking price so that's probably over reaching a bit but wow that would be nice! Still got lots of stuff (maybe another £200) left to list as well. Will give it all a few more weeks then look to reduce prices or sell elsewhere. If I could make £300 I would be so happy as that would cover the cost of my new oven and hob and kitchen paint! £600 would cover that and the new worktops and tiles! So basically I'd only be paying for installation. Oh please Shpock gods be kind!Mortgage started 02/2015 opening balance -£183,349

Hi
I've just been having a look at shp0ck after seeing it mentioned on your diary.
I think I might give it a try. I don't have much to sell but might work for the odd thing I do come across.
Good luck with all your items.
The remortgage sounds a good deal after crunching the numbers.0 -
