Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

Hugs, sticks, spoons & vibes to all as I haven't caught up on last weeks thread.

Went awol again due to another busy week. I think Friday and Sunday were the only days I didn't go out last week which is not like me! Saturday I had a mad clean round before some of ex's family came to collect DD. Just managed to get stuff done except vacuuming upstairs before they turned up so the place isn't too bad. ;)

This week I have loads of admin to do, an appointment tomorrow so I'll be out running errands all day, and I really need to get the end of the livingroom decorating done as I realised last night that I only have 2 more weekends then its Advent and I start my Christmas decorating that weekend! Hopefully DD won't have much homework & will be able to chip in as well.

    Todays plan:
    Laundry
    Ironing
    Accounts
Compare debt plan to loan offer to see it the consolidation loan is worth it
    Type up recipes for DD
Collect books from school at hometime
    Homework

I best get on or I'll never clear my list.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

I've already spent an hour and a half tidying, sorting and dealing with 'stuff' so that I can get to the carpet washing bit that needs to be done and it started off as the priority today. And I thought the place was fairly straight. Will someone please tell me when I'm going to be on top of this place?
    Better is good enough.

Thanks for the lists this week Natty.

It will be a short week of flying for me as I'm off to see the northern lights towards the end of the week.

I need to get the house straight before I go, as I have people popping in to feed the mogs.

Flying dropped off a bit towards the end of last week, the BD almost smothered me, so much so that I've booked an appointment with a counsellor. I hope she is as good as my last counsellor (she is based in my adopted home town, so can't go back to her).

    Tonight's list

    Pack for holiday
    Book train tickets

I have today off work this week instead of my normal Wednesday. It feels very strange.

    My List
    [STRIKE]Get cat food from shops[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Finish the report I have already started[/STRIKE]
Write at least one report for work
[STRIKE]Washing (including suitcase from Son's muddy week in Wales)[/STRIKE]

Monday Mayhem ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    15 minutes...
    [STRIKE]Vacuum floors and sofas [/STRIKE]
    30 minutes...
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!!
    Got an hour...
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts.
    Extra Mission:

Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    • Deep Clean Challenge
    • Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Dust all those trinkets! Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!
I must get on with those reports
    £1000 Emergency Fund #175 - £598/£1000
    PAYDBX 16 #134 - £2139.00/£6961.85
    Roadkill Rebel #22 85p
  • Back in again this week. I went to visit parents to get out of house for a while. OH is still packing up his stuff and says he will be gone by next Monday. I cried when I saw all the boxes packed up but I will get there!

Just having cup of coffee then going to do hall and stairs. Have been to Drs already and managed a bit of shopping.

Have only skimmed old thread but very sorry to hear about the sadness with the cats.

    Hugs to all

Breakfast and lunch made for DD1. DD1 helped me move the last few things in the front room move around and I cleaned the laminate floor behind the t.v unit :)
I have finally been given a birthday/Christmas list by DD1, slightly late as her birthday is in a weeks time
Still can't get the word processor to work, I have earache (again) and DD1 is snotty and breathing funny so I'm feeling really, really grumpy. AND my mobile phone that was supposed to be here friday but when I called got told Monday am is still not here!
I'm going to have a coffee and look through this present list see if there is anything I can get in a week

You're right, of course, Pigpen. And I suppose what's happening is that I'm not noticing the improvments any more, and am focussing too closely on the bits that I'm no longer content to leave until another day / year / lifetime.

I'm now removing masking tape stickyness from a short flight of wooden steps over a bit of carpet that needs vaccumming before I can wash it. And the steps need washing because of the sticky stuff remover. And so on, and so on.
    Better is good enough.

Monday Mayhem ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
List fabrics for sale on FB
List items from AS on EBaaay
Sort through paperwork, what can be done
    Start next scrapbook
    Make soup

    Hi all,
I'm in again this week. Thanks Natty for the thread.

Am doing my own list today, living room is still clean from last week (the joys of being single and childless) but there are some items clogging it up a little.
I'm a bit annoyed with ebaaay customers at the minute. I used to do AS parties and have a box of ex kit items in perfect condition. I listed one expensive item (£50) on there at only £15 and had 8 watchers so thought I was definitely getting shot.... didn't sell! I relisted last night and less than 24 hours later has 4 watchers already. Really hope some of it shifts as although I'm losing money on what I paid it's not doing me any good sitting about the house.

    sorry, rant over!

First day I had to defrost the car today and first neighbours Christmas lights up last night. Feels like it's rubbing in how behind I am with everything this year.

Anyway, enough of my whinging today! Hope you're all warm and well.
