I have a little job for you all!!

Take out the crumb trays on the toaster.

My toaster kept blowing the fuse (I think a raisin had got stuck on the element!!). I thought I was going to have to buy a new toaster, but I tried to get all the crumbs out and then realised it had crumb trays that were over flowing!! I emptied it all, plugged it in and it worked! Hurrah! No need to buy a new toaster.

GWS vibes for all who need them.

Englishrose I hope the Fang Farrier can sort you out - toothache is the very pits!

YL park yourself on the sofa with a good book/magazine/crossword/sudoku/sitting-down hobby of choice, and stay there. And fwiw, I think your boss is well out of order - if you're ill, you're ill and that's all there is to it.
LW quick appointment vibes for Mr LW; have you ever tried magnesium supplements to aid your sleep? You need to be careful of the formulas as some can upsets tums. I'm using an 'oil' actually a solution I made by dissolving a high concentration of flakes in water.
Thanks, Dusty:A. I never heard of magnesium to aid sleep, so I'll look into that. I was still awake when Mr LW got up for the loo at 04:30.:(

I'm an idiot - we did a Mr T shop yesterday, and I forgot we need some "A-juice" (Mr LW's name for the cider we get when his pal A is coming to visit) as A is coming over tomorrow evening. Mr LW has been texted and asked to go to Morries in his lunch break and get it - he replied that he's going in for a paper (he was a tad late leaving this morning so didn't get his paper on the way to work) so he'd get the "A-juice" at the same time. Cross with myself, though.:wall:

Kitchen tidied, two hand-wash-only tops washed, not a lot else achieved so far today.:(

Living room tidied and cat stuff done.

Been put and did a bit shopping for DD. DGS2 is having minor surgery this afternoon so she is staying with him.
  • Hi all, have been barely keeping up with the thread or the lists for that matter :rotfl: trying to jump back in though.....

Can't wait to hear how the wall is going lynseyJane:rotfl:

LW can I suggest that you have a little read about melatonin supplements as they may help?

Glad you had a lovely day, mrs-mp.

I have managed a few phonecalls, made soup for 20 people and visited my friend. Not a lot more! Concentration is still all over the place :(

We're going to have a (relatively) early tea tonight. Since my brain won't function properly I shall give up work for today and simply relax in front of the TV and knit another duck for my friend's DGD's Advent calendar. Aha, I have just realised that I can release the other two ducks at the hospital on Friday. And if I can make a couple more before Sunday, I will send them to Germany with one of our weekend visitors :D

Will join you in the boardroom later. Tomorrow the diary is clear apart from choral society in the evening, so I will make a real effort then to get one set of resource boxes checked.
