Fridge and microwave now all cleaned. Still have cooker to do but thats a job for after school run.
Going to spend an hour now in the livingroom and get the fire set up. Livingroom should really only take an hour to sort, then when i get back it will be cooker and bathroom before DD gets home. Then we need to go get her birthday present, she's a big 14 today...“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Hi all
Been in bed for most of the last 24 hrs but feeling a bit better now. Had to give in and go to the docs and get some antibiotics.
Rang my boss to tell him I was ill this morning (first time I have been ill for over a year) and he has asked me to go in tomorrow for an important meeting!!! He very kindly said I could just go in for the meeting and then go home. If I was well enough to go to work I would be there. Bit upset about it.
Hoping all is OK with your OH LW. My DS1 has had trouble sleeping since he was diagnosed with the Crohn's, doctors can never come up with any helpful suggestions.
I need everyone to keep telling me to stay away from the kitchen. If I go in there everyone will assume I am better and will expect me to start cooking and cleaning. Flying is on hold today.0 -
Healing vibes for you, YL. You could always say you've been diagnosed with Man Flu - everyone knows that makes the patient utterly helpless.
If you've been signed off sick by your doctor, you are uninsured. I'm told the law only allows you to deliver the sicknote and absolutely nothing else - meetings would be classed as 'work.' Your boss might want to check with the employer's liability insurance agent about whether he, personally, is covered if you have an accident going in to the meeting tomorrow.
Another day of finishing off things and 'tidying.' Technically, I think my version of tidying is what other people call sorting out rooms and cupboards of doom.Better is good enough.0 -

The reason I was in the sweet shops is that I'm going a goody hamper for DD and usually include "special" sweets like chocolate frogs (the Harry Potter ones) which these shops stock so I was looking at where was cheaper. I am not happy paying £5 for 1 chocolate but I'm still to find somewhere cheaper! My sweet tooth seems to be wearing off, but the banana swirls were just too tempting in the last shop with DD:o She got a bag of sherbet lemons :rotfl:
Monday:
Ironing - slowly going down

Find some recipes I know I have lurking which I got from these forums
Shredding x 4 lots.
Dig out winter blankets & freshen them up as my bedroom is freezing despite the radiator being on full
Phone bank to arrange appointment.

Write C-mas lists for non-DD peeps
HH planning my window for C-masI bought a new colouring book the other week especially for this
HH me time - try to clear 1 magazine from pile.
Grab 1st post lists and start working through.
The recipes took me over an hour, but I'm now able to fling the smelly papers. I've also downloaded then sorted through all my work emails (I get them on my phone only normally and periodically download them), my personal email, surveys were done as best I could as I was screened out of a few and now the laptop needs to install updates so I'm off out as soon as I can switch them off. So glad I left going out until now as the rain has stopped and the sun is out
Off to Mr A, list in hand but going to explore clothing etc as I need to see if I can get a new belt. This one is no longer holding up my jeans:wave:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Cleaned on top of the kitchen cupboards left over from last week.
Going to make a cuppa and clean bathrooms next. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Living room, hall, stairs Done!
Main bedroom Done!
Making the most of a sudden burst of energy. Several annoying bags of bits decluttered and flung. Just one remaining in living room, full of DS1's paperwork, but certain it will be me who sorts it if it is ever going to go!
Odd weather today, bright sun, windy, then goes black and tips it down with rain. Quite fancy a trip into town, but don't want to get drenched.
Dusty Pea Oregon Sugar Pod is the one I have found most successful, a tip I got from Marshall's seeds some years ago. There are other varieties, round rather than wrinkled seeds are the ones to look for. However, I've tried these and not done as well. I only sow two short rows, about four foot each. I make a shallow trench, and sow the seeds in a three rows, two inches apart, staggered so they look like a number five on a dice. They stay about two or three inches high during the winter, then grow away fast in spring, when I add netting and raspberry canes to support. They crop very heavily, and I never manage to eat them all.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
