Things that annoy you in supermarkets

I happened upon a young supermarket worker talking over the top of me to another staff member with the words ' nah don't I'mGonna chunder seriously gonna chunder!'
Round of applause for hiring that go getter!0 -
When you realise the cashier is engaging in conversation with everyone in front of you and it's too late to get into a different queue.0

The other day a customer put their bottles of wine standing up on the conveyor belt even though there are signs asking to put bottles lying on their side lengthwise.
The belt was moving with a slight judder One of these judders caused three bottles of wine smashing everywhere. The man who put the bottles touching each other shouted at the poor cashier when she didn't touch the bottles.
Having to close the checkout whilst mopping up wine and waiting for the floor to dry. Not what a supermarket needs during a busy timeThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
i work in Asda in the instore travel money bureau ( previously worked same in sainsburys ) the amount of things that annoys me even though i wasnt even shopping most of them have been mentioned , have had a good chuckle reading them
people on mobiles when in Q and skanky women wearing onesies
its annoys me on a sunday when at 4pm/4:30pm when the store is closing and i am on my way out you see people running in saying to the security at the entrance what time you close or i only want a couple of things.
like the store hasnt been open since 10am"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0 -
Think people need to look at things from both sides for the more petty "annoyances" on here. Same people that moan are usually the most impatient people, never having worked in retail expecting staff always to behave as automatons; there to comply with their every whim often without a please or thanks. Same type that brushes past you when you hold open a door without a thanks. Customers can be bum holes too. I once delivered to a "lady" who never took her mobile from her ear and actually apologized (I thought to me at first) to her friend on the other end for "multitasking" whilst her shopping was delivered never said a word to me, just closed the door. I hope she gets eternal piles.0

Something that really annoys me in a supermarket is when something I want is Buy One, Get One Free...but there's only one item left.
It leaves me with an awful dilemma - I need the item, but now if I buy it I will feel oddly cheated out of the free item I could have had too.0 -

Some people do actually work into the early hours of a Sunday where, by 4pm, means getting up early and rushing.0 -
How about the member of staff doing their job and not discussing some programme that was on TV the night before with a colleague?
Perhaps my expectations of the service industry are higher than yours.
I am in no way ashamed of encouraging someone to do their job.
I once had a shelf stacker job with Sainsburys as a student and was working my last shift on a Saturday, before starting a full time job on the Monday, and was working on the alcohol section of the store.
This pompous snob came in and barked at me like a dog and was angry his particular wine was sold out and gave me a load of abuse.
Obviously not expecting it, I said it was my last ever shift and I was going to follow him out the store and give him a good kicking in the car park.
The guy ran off through the store.
I'm not ashamed to encourage someone not to talk to me like !!!!!!.0 -

Nobody but me/family deal with my daughter happened last year at a local church fund raising event- surface to say we have not been invited back.
My peeve is chavs who let their children make all the noise they want, and then get aggressive when rightly castigated.
Sadly they think that just because they can't control their children that no-one else should.0 -

I work shifts. Why not do what I do, either buy it on Saturday or Monday?0
